National signing Day was a tough one for me

My father was always big on it. He knew all of the scoop, where they were from and what they had done. I have never cared about that because it is a lot of hype about a kid whom has never put a fist in the dirt at Clemson University.
He would call me all day and give me updates. I pretended to care.
He passed away in October.
He was a great Tiger.
Wow I missed those updates today, I cared today.

Sorry about your father.
My step brother made a few dumb decisions a couple years ago, and is doing 15 years prison time because of. He loved this day, i remember him being so hype over Tony Steward.
Wish he could be here to celebrate it with me. he's requested that i keep him informed via letter, so there's that.
Go tigers!

It generally takes a year to start getting over a death. Sorry for your loss. Go visit him and tell him who we got this year.

I get it like you would not believe. My dad died

unexpectedly in May of 2012, two days after his birthday. He was a 1964 grad, and he became the biggest follower of Clemson on the internet since Al Gore invented it. He told me that Dabo was going to be our next coach before anybody really expected that. I doubted him on that prediction, and I will never forget him saying "Dabo Swinney!!" to me when Bowden was on the way out.
Losing your Dad is really d@mn hard. I feel your pain, and that is from the heart.
Go Tigers!!!!!

I was close with my brother-in-law's younger brother. He passed shortly before season start last year. NSD was his favorite of days other than opening date. I understand what you mean, though not to the extent (as he was not my father). I'm sure there have been better Tigers, but none that I've ever known.
RIP my friend, we had a hell of a haul today!

There IS "something in those hills" (there really is)
There is nothing like the Clemson family
nothing
Your thoughts and comments were very comforting

Went to Clemson games with him for over 30 years. He was a 61-year member of IPTAY when he died and you couldn't find a bigger Clemson fan anywhere.
I don't believe the year thing. I'm still not over it and probably never will be. Just have to learn to live with it.

even though you know it is coming, you are never prepared.
Oh no, the year thing does not float here, although I appreciate the thought and do not discount he or shes condolances, it will be more than a year.
It will never be the same .
I live in Houston. I came back to God's country twice a year..... the spring game and whatever big game was up the following fall.
It would have been South Carolina this year.
The last game we saw together was the UGA game last year.
WHAT A GAME. What a game to remember him by.
