The recruits that attended liked a lot of different parts of the visit. However one of the biggest hits was when current Clemson players presented their story/testimony of what they had experienced personally at Clemson.
No coaches are allowed during this part of the event and so it’s an honest place to ask questions to current players.
It stuck with the recruits like Sanders, allowing for even more transparency about the program. Several of the recruits mentioned that no other school that they have visited has done this and that even when they'd made visits to other programs and did ask questions to the player that was hosting them, things did not add up and was different than the message that some of the coaches at other programs have been telling them.
Agree, this is a big advantage for Clemson in recruiting. I also think the fact that Clemson is genuine throughout the recruiting process will be beneficial in the new world of college football. A “recruiting pitch” only goes so far when a student steps on campus and can transfer in 6-12 months. As players move between schools they will share stories and those with integrity will win out.
