The news here last night said he was in Conway yesterday afternoon-I guess trying to get the receiver down there to recommit.

Muschamp is about to find out the hard way....

Dec 8, 2015, 3:36 PM

that recruiting kids to Florida and Auburn is A LOT different than trying to recruit them to the University of Second Choice.

LOL

This guy could not recruit at Florida

Dec 8, 2015, 3:35 PM

He will be a non-factor recruiting at his new school.

At least at Florida he had something to sell- some semblance of history.

Now he has nothing!

he could recruit a little there but he had no idea what to do with it on the O side of the ball.

Muschamp's recruiting record so far

Dec 8, 2015, 3:42 PM

In the last 24 hours he has lost two of the top remaining recruits in the class (Jordan Smith, J.J. Givens). They are down to one 4-star in their entire class (Brandon McIlwain), and he will likely be the next to decommit.

Re: Muschamp's recruiting record so far

Dec 8, 2015, 3:46 PM

Yep. Mcilwain wanted mangus to be retained and he did not so I think he's gone. Most likely to either MLB or Penn state

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Mangus is after the OC job at Penn Sate

Dec 8, 2015, 3:53 PM

I'm sure the QB commit is part of the package he's using to try and get the job.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This should help his decision

Dec 8, 2015, 3:54 PM [ in reply to Re: Muschamp's recruiting record so far ]

Even if McIlwain doesn't go directly to MLB, Mangus to Penn State would be the nail in the coffin for the coots:

"G.A. Mangus is likely the most realistic possibility for Penn State in terms of the open offensive coordinator position. Mangus also happens to be the offensive coordinator at South Carolina, who was also Brandon McIlwain's primary recruiter. Would a move by Mangus to Penn State influence Brandon's decision?

"[McIlwain]: I'll have to see when that happens, because there's a lot of speculation and a lot of names get thrown around for a lot of different jobs. It would be something that my family and I would definitely talk about and I have a great relationship with Coach Mangus. He's a big reason I committed to South Carolina. It would definitely be something I would take into consideration and would go toward my final decision."
