the Portal are finally leveling the playing field somewhat? Everyone knows that the SEC has always paid top dollar for recruits and consistently gotten away with it. Through the first couple of weeks this year, a lot of so called “SEC powerhouses” have had their noses bloodied by OOC competition.

What do you think?

Possible. But is also a statistical likelihood that a down year against OOC is inevitable.

I think the SEC was dominant not because of their wealth, but because of their lack of concern for the rules. Now, the corruption is largely neutralized and the teams with real wealth behind them will begin to take over and we are starting to see it bubble to the surface in the top 10. We need to start sucking up to billionaires.

If that’s the case, and it may be, why is Texas am underperforming so poorly over the last few seasons..they have a loaded alumni

You can’t do all of that in a month.

Now that they’re settled in financially, they can finally get down to business.

The narrative that the SEC is the most powerful conference top to bottom has always been a myth; Instead they’ve always had one or two dominant teams. The difference now is Jawja is that dominant team with maybe UTjr as #2. It seems the power has shifted from the west to the east. Also, we’re only two weeks into the season

The days of having quality depth are over. Guys are going where they can play and it's absolutely made for better competition overall.
