Ever making a post on tnet about poor officiating BUT last night in Winston was certainly a very unusual game! I’m not saying it was one-sided but the game was greatly affected by the guys in striped suits! If a foul on one end, it’s a foul on the other! No one can argue that but it was an extremely poor team of two that I saw last night. Not having the regular point guard magnified this problem for the good guys. When the refs realize they screwed up and try to make it right with a make up call that’s two screw ups imo!
And, to make matters worse, the TV Experts we’re beyond pitiful! I hope I never see them again.
It will not be done but I think that this crew should be ‘exposed’ to the league office. Basketball at the collegiate level is a great and rewarding sport and when a bunch of clowns are allowed to control a game it’s time to wake up and make the changes necessary.
Sorry. I know that no one cares about my thoughts but I like to see the big tall guys and the little fast guys decide who wins.

I tend to agree on the fouls, but I do acknowledge two things: first, I’m biased toward our Tigers - I won’t lie. Second, Wake’s players were aggressive and very quick to attack toward the basket, and our guys got beat often enough, which in my experience leads to the defender committing fouls.
As for the announcers, Brian Oliver was trying too hard to be ‘clever/funny/witty’ with his comments. As for the other guy, the prime example of his schtick (for me), was his several references to the Wake big guy (Marks?) who fouled Hunter Tyson under the basket when he lost his balance, stumbled into Tyson, but got the worst of it when his face slammed into Hunter’s shoulder. Even after the referees reviewed the play and CORRECTLY upheld the foul call; that nimrod kept saying “…. and there’s Marks - who is still trying to understand how he ‘gets hit in the face’ but the foul is on him…”. Dumba$$.

I totally agree. A difficult game to analyze because of those who are assigned to the game to make sure it is a fair game. Very obvious fouls go unnoticed and touch fouls called to make everything fair. Not the way the game should be played.
There was one play early in the game when a Wake player actually locked his arm around a Tiger player driving for the basket and no call of any kind and the Doofies calling the game ignored it. I bet you saw the play I’m referring to.couldn’t miss it … but they did,

I told my family that should've been half the distance to the goal. We're just lucky there was no targeting in that game.

Do you still have the game. I watch on mute almost 90% of the time so I can't comment about the announcers.
Did either of you catch on the foul on marks. Hall pushed him into Tyson. Should have been reviewed and overturned as a no call.
But to forest point. It's just so inconsistent from game to game. A charge abd block is subjective... e.g - I get it, but as you said, call it tight and consistent during said game a n d all games.

I have the dvr set to record (all things) Clemson ?, but really didn’t want to re’live’ last night’s game.
Still kept the Orange Bowl, as I haven’t rewatched it. Yet. Sigh….
