I came on this sight months ago and said beware of the Tom Allen hype. So far, defense is average. Giving up way too many yards.
I put yesterdays lose on the offense for only scoring 21 points. But man if the defense could just stop them it’s a different story today

A late stop would of been great but they played pretty good overall. In today's FB you have to play complimentary FB which Clemson doesn't do. The defense gave the offense many opportunities to score and they didn't .

Atleast Tom Allen arrived with proven credentials. With talented players he had a very stout defense that held up against teams like OhioSt. I think he’s still struggling with the disaster Goodwin (and yes assistants) left him. I expect he will demand opportunity to fix the assistant coaching this offseason.

I have to disagree. And put the blame on the players. On several 3rd and 2nd n longs. We had players in the right position and they did not make the play. Several Missed tackles that would of caused them to punt. Our back end is a huge weak link. Safeties amd corners are slow and miss too many tackles. And dont get me started on Parker. He has secured the bag and know hes at least a 2nd round pick and doesnt have that hunger anymore.

Hard disagreement. The D is giving us a chance to win. They struggle with getting stops in crucial situations but haven't been getting dominated. There were lots of issues on D and they weren't going to be fixed magically in a couple of weeks.
We aren't playing complimentary football and the Offense puts us in a hole. But yesterday was a team effort in the loss. Not loving the 4-2-5 as teams aren't trying to go over the top and instead just churn out rushing yards and short passing plays.
Those adjustments are absolutely crucial to salvage the season as mathematically its not over (in terms of ambitions); it just seems so in probability.

I'm not placing blame on a DC when our offense struggles to hit 20 and keeps putting all the pressure on the defense. Defense made enough stops for the offense to come back and extend the lead several times. Held LSU to 17....you can't lose game after game and barely give up 20

D has given up 16.6 pts per game when you take away the pick 6. I would think we returned enough players to score more than that in 4 quarters.

Yeahh but you can't tell the low football IQ minds that. We could lose 10-7 and they blame the defense. It's annoying giving up a long drive late sure, it's more annoying wasting 4 or 5 straight drives on offense
