I think 10-8 is doable. That gives you a one game margin.

I posted after the Florida or scar game that this team will make the sweet 16 this year. Obviously barring injury etc. That Temple loss makes me think but that was after playing several in a row and was it Reed or Devoe that went 0 for 7 in that game... and I think all were 3 pointers. Memory fades this old. I digress.
Anyway Temple got smoked today by the team I hate the most-jawja. Jawja may be that good though.
Long winded response but bottom line, they’re finishing this year. Last year they’d have blown it down the stretch against Florida. Hopefully Dabo’s taught em how to finish!

That was without Skara and our freshman have came along since then as well. Skara gives us a lot of options. We roll, if we were to play Temple again at this point.

I think 11-7 is possible. If we can start out 4-0 that w ouod be great. We have winnable games.

I can see a small chance at 10 or 11 as well, but we need to keep things in prospective and say that we've never won 11 games in the ACC...ever. We've won 10 a few times, but never 11. Would be quite the feat.
As for the "magic" number...knowing RPI and BPI and some of those things the way I think I do (I'm quite the metrics nerd), I truly think we're in with 8 conference wins (prior to the ACC Tournament). Anything extra in the ACC Tournament is gravy. 9 or more wins is a lock.

Yea i agree. Winning 11 games will be very difficult in conference but I think we can do it. We really need to start out atleast 3-1 playing State twice, BC, and Louisville. We will know a little more about our chances. It does not get any easier after that. Miami, UNC, ND, and UVA after that. If we are better than .500 after 8 games we will be in great position.

I think the key for us this year will be Notre Dame. I'm not to sure how good they are this season. I have not watched them play as of yet, but I do know two out of the three loses are too Michigan State and Indiana. Those loses should speak for themselves. Anyway, last season we lost to Notre Dame in a nail bitter and then lost the next five straight. Totally took the wind out of our sails. Prior to that lose we were kicking @ss and taking names. Also a two point NAIL BITTER O.T. loss to North Carolina wasn't helpful.
