Football started off 4-4 and went on a five game winning streak to end the season. That's coaching and developing your players.

Basketball has now off to a similar start with the rest of the season ahead of us. Let's see how this season plays out. Hopefully coaching will turn this around and we end the season strong.

I still have faith in this team.

My concern is that the coaching staff has lost the players. Maybe not.

But when Brad went so far as to push Girard into position it was telling. I’ve never understood Brad’s constant yelling and pointing where to be from sidelines.

When a coach is that frustrated with a player that, if he’s in reach, he sees then need to assist them physically then that’s a problem.

I hope the players step up and own their performance. Some are working hard. Some aren’t. Especially on perimeter defense.

I do agree with finishing out the season.

However, I do not expect similar results to football. To lose at home against a (then) 1-4, 8-8 GT team is inexcusable for such a (supposedly) super-talented team. Is it Brownell's coaching? Or has Brownell lost this team? Is the support staff to blame?

If it is Brownell, it is time for Neff to do what he promised to do, evaluate at the end of the season and rid us of this continued disappointment and false narrative that Brownell is a better-than-average coach.
