I really don't know if it is Brownell or if it is just lousy playing. It is just awful!

And listening, and going, and supporting. It's our University, and they deserve our best.

I'd bet our all time free throw shooting percentage is one

the all time worst in the country.
It makes no difference who the coach is, Clemson has typically been a horrendous free throw shooting team, year after year after year

I have watched them for many years now. I just cannot do it anymore. I went to see them and followed them when Bobby Roberts was the coach. Bobby and his wife used to have to use their own money to feed the players out at their house. I watched them when they always got the short end of the stick on Tobacco Road at the tournament. My anxiety level has gone down since I am not watching them anymore.

Roberts also got short changed with his office equipment. Have read that he had to use a hallway phone to call recruits. He had one of the better Clemson teams in '67 when they won the old North/South Classic in Charlotte with Mahaffey, Southerland, etc. Just didn't have any depth after the sixth guy.

If you do not enjoy supporting Clemson, then there is nothing to be gained in watching what has been a painful year. But remember your infidelity, turning your heart from the sons of Clemson, when the team has returned.
There has been little joy in this season, but if indeed you have watched Clemson basketball for many years you are familiar with that.
Better days ahead. Save your fork.

But I don't have a choice. My hand finds the remote without my consent. My fingers push buttons and my TV comes on by itself. My eyes and heart are glued to the screen.
In my mind I'm gone to Clemson. I hurt but I remember it's just a basketball game and there'll be another one in a couple of days and perhaps I'll find a better outcome then. Perhaps the next recruiting class will help. Perhaps after a couple more years Brownell will prove himself to be 'our guy.'
Perhaps our new AD will make a change and find someone who can end this horrible run at playing basketball.
Death may be my only escape but I'll hold out for good basketball at Clemson until then.
