Not sure why it's strange to question a head scratching decision to not play a clearly more talented player.
Let me ask you, what do you see in cole that should make him the starter? If they were both here with the same eligibility remaining who would start? Clearly it would be Watson no?

I think so too, I had to re-read and make sure I didn't accidentally say something stupid.
Apparently "calling a spade a spade" had racial connotations that I didn't realize.

Spade was not something you would call a black man to his face so your use of that phrase with Watson opened the door for a very bad joke

No, I thought Watson looked better.
But I don't know 1% of the football our coaches do. And I don't go to practice. I don't go to film study. And I don't lose my job if Clemson loses football games.
My point is that I think questioning people who have VAST amounts more data on this situation is a little silly.
I'm pretty happy we have 2 good qbs. Wasn't always this way.
Also I think we could start Joe Montana, John Elway, or Tom Brady at qb and still lose in Doak by 21. And start Cole or Watson and likely beat everybody else. So no worries!
