Bet the price of gas rises 50 cents by gametime Saturday

Nov 7, 2012, 8:32 AM

Just proves a political scam by lowering it just before the election to get votes.

I bet ammo is double too!

Nov 7, 2012, 8:36 AM

I'm scared to death of what they're going to do to the price of white bread!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ban white bread! It'll be whole wheat or multi grain.

Nov 7, 2012, 8:37 AM

Or starve!

...I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent.

Your a stupid, idiot libbie!!!! Weight until the inaugeral

Nov 7, 2012, 8:49 AM [ in reply to I bet ammo is double too! ]

in January. My sources tail me that Odummer will remove his trench coat during his inauger speach to reveal Muslim clothing underneath, and will tell all Amurikans they are now under the control of Islam.

The inaugeral crowd will then be forced to face Mekka and pray to that Mohomed Ali guy. You bet find a copy of that there Korean book now and start reading cause there will bee a pop quiz afterwoods.

I'm headed to the grocery store today to start stockpiling can goods, white bread, and toilet paper.

Mark my illiterate words.

Do you enjoy cashing your government check?

Nov 7, 2012, 8:54 AM

I don't know that your employer is the government, just guessing.

I'm spending your hard earned tax dollars as fast as I can

Nov 7, 2012, 9:00 AM

Wrong answer, angry white man. I don't work for the gubermint, but I did spend 10 years and 5 months years ago working at Ft. Bragg as a construction engineer, and later, as a resident engineer on numerous military construction projects. I'm proud of my time as a civilian employee serving our military.

so he could lure fat Christie into his "presidential" trap..LOL

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep, that worked out well for McCain in 08. Gas went down to

Nov 7, 2012, 8:42 AM

below 2 bucks for the first time in years, and immediately went back up after the election. It is where PUBS and Fox News get that talking point "gas has doubled under Barack Obama" when in reality gas was just as bad in the months and years leading up to the election as it is now, and for about a month it got low again. Technically, they are right. It had doubled, but apparently they also can say and believe with a straight face they expected gas to stay that low. It was already getting back to wacky prices before he even took office that January.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So you aren't really negating his point.

Nov 7, 2012, 9:26 AM

Its all Bush's fault.

I've heard that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Whatever the reason, gas is going down. I'm still not sure

Nov 7, 2012, 9:33 AM

if Republicans like good news or not? Is good news only acceptable when a Republican is in charge, and infact is bad news not even POSSIBLE when a Republican is in charge? I don't understand why you guys are such negative Debbie Downers. I never said anything was Bush's fault. I was merely pointing out for the millionth time that gas has sucked for a very, very, very, very long time under Bush and Obama, and each have had tiny, tiny flurries of it trying to be better, with it getting way down for a millisecond before the 08 election, and this is what Pubs, Fox News, and Romney used as their "doubled the gas" line during this election because I guess they assume idiots can't figure out what I'm saying for themselves, or put the research into it to discover it themselves. Neither you nor I know why it is the gas has went down. It just has and enjoy it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So you explain and explain, and talk and talk, but you still

Nov 7, 2012, 9:35 AM

don;t negate his point.

I happen to agree--gas will start a rise back up.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How do I negate an opinion of his? His opinion is gas prices

Nov 7, 2012, 9:45 AM

get lower right before an election to get votes. I can't definitively tell him he is wrong or he is right. Neither one of us know the answer to that question, but looking over the numbers in the last 3 elections, they have appeared to drop leading up to it. Heading into the 2008 election, people were pretty much divided on that opinion. 50 believe it is manipulated, 50 believe it isn't.

I am not worried about it going by Saturday. Anybody want to bet that it will double again before 2016? We are looking at least $6.00/gallon by then. Probably more.

Nov 7, 2012, 4:56 PM

Probably true, The big oil companies will want to get all their money backing the losers. A quick trip to the Federal Election Commission would show you that Romney received SIX TIMES the amount of big oil money that Obama did(heck even Perry's failed Presidential primary campaign almost doubles Obama in big oil money). Usually Republicans receive 65-70% in big oil money, the last two elections it has been 90%+.
