I believe we will be committed to the run game against South

Carolina and I believe it will work regardless of who plays qb. We will see run after run after run, followed by a wide receiver screen and a few occassional downfield shots. This will limit our turnovers in the game, which has cost us the last few years. That is what I believe.

I'd like to think so also...

They've proven they can't stop any team's run game. Our RBs are just hitting their peak and with as questionable as we are passing, I think you're right. Then again, we're liable to try that a couple times, then abandon it and go with more screens...

I would like to see the run game succeed

but it will not work unless we are able to take some shots down the field and keep their second level defenders from creeping up on the line and stopping our run game...which is exactly what I think they will do to take that run game away. Stack 7 or 8 in the box and dare us to throw the ball down the field which we have failed to do much of. Watson would be a huge help in that department obviously but I believe Cole can get the job done(no reason to give other than my optimism). I really want this streak to end and I feel the entire team is willing to do whatever it takes to come out of Saturday with a W!!

Go Tigers!!

I agree with both of you. I believe our plan will be to run the ball and go play action against a bad secondary. The question is will Cole execute those deep balls so that we can keep them off balance? He has not done so consistently which is why defenses play up to the line of scrimmage and take away our screen game. DW4 hits those throws consistently. My worry is that if the run game doesn't work right away, Morris will be impatient and start throwing. My hope is that the run game works and we are able to hit on the deep throws to keep that D off balance. I don't think that they can cover us IF we execute.

Really? What makes you think we are going to line it up and rush it right over anyone? I don't care how bad their defense is. We couldn't line it up against GT who is one of the worst defenses in America.

If your whole gameplan revolves around not allowing Cole to completely stink up the field then we have lost already.

Our run game was pretty good against GT. I don't think we can just bowl over the coots but I believe that we can run the ball well enough to win the game. SEC teams have followed the recipe of run the football, stop the run and manage the game for a long time. Cole will need to make some throws to win.

I will not believe that as long as Morris is calling the plays. He can not be that patient, he wants to throw it all over the place. Sat. I thought Rob Spence was calling some of those plays.

I think so too..............

Let's face it, if Stoudt plays and we try to throw, it greatly increases our chances of a turnover or three and outs. We HAVE to let the defense rest and keep Spurrier from running his offense which always seems to outcoach us. I don't care what they've done so far this year, you can bet Spurrier will dial up a great gameplan. Keep them off the field, control the LOS and the clock.
