I am tired of reading the posts about Dabo

outright lying about Cade and DJ. The only way you can prove he was/is lying is if you were at practices and saw Cade practice versus DJ and say that Cade was better. I am confident that most if not all of you can't claim that. I personally know two people who had access to practices, not every day but several times throughout the season, the last time being prior to the Louisville game for one contact and prior to Miami for the other. Both tell the same story. DJ was clearly the better player in practice and the sticking point for Cade was his tendency to put the ball in jeopardy on throws. Both of these are former players or former coaches. No I will not name names.
Too many people like you are attacking Dabo's character based on what you THINK you know rather than what you actually know. It's time to stop it.

Then don't post anymore about it. Most of us are already thinking about beating the Vols, wondering about our lineup for next year, and thinking about making that playoff next year. Moving on.

AMEN!!! The dude has built a power house for a reason… he knows what he is doing …. Trust the process… yes it has been frustrating but I am sure it was 100% more frustrating for dabo and coaches cause they seen DJ’s potential… let’s support our coach and back him instead of question and belittle him

So exactly why is Brad above reproach in your eyes?

No way someone can be as ignorantly hypocritical as you, troll.
Brad is questioned for valid reasons.
Dabo, from folks like you, not so much.
We're 7th, Ms. Keller. 7th in the country despite what we dealt with at QB. Brad, by comparison has never even sniffed that rare air. His average program ranking over 12 years in the 70's. Now THAT has some legimate concerns.
But the coach running the (by far) most successful program in university history and a a coach who hasn't finished out of the top 15 since 2011, yeah, not so much.

But unless they just stood in a circle and tossed the ball around, I can’t imagine that practice DJ was that much better than game DJ or that practice Cade was worse than what we saw Saturday night.
The issue I have with what Dabo is saying “that Cade wasn’t ready”. He gave him one pass attempt against Notre Dame and declared him not ready. How many interceptions has DJ thrown in 2 years. Heck he had one against Notre Dame. How does that make Cade “not ready” and DJ the undisputed starter? He sure seemed ready when they needed him at Syracuse.

There is a different pressure's on you when you are in a live game. I can rather easily see Uiagalelei play well in practice, and then not have it translate into games.

I have no idea what went on in practice but

the only thing of any major significance that Cade did in the Cuse game was not turn the ball over. Trying to use that game as a way to criticize Dabo just doesn’t make sense. The defense and rushing attack won that game. I’m not defending Dabo’s decision to stick with Cade but I can’t bash him if I didn’t see the practices either. The OP seems to have some inside info that lines up with the decisions we were seeing. It would make good sense to me. The truth is we are on the outside looking in and a two time NC head coach doesn’t purposely do things to hurt his program.

The problem with that argument is it assumes players stand alone and have no impact on other players. Yes, the running game won that game (though Cade was a central player). But can you not tell the entire team plays better when Cade is out there? When the leader is fiery and a competitor, its infectious. When someone is dejected and has no fire, then that's infectious too.

Cade need time to mature and develop. He had a shot to literally win the job (according to Dabo) against Notre Dame, but panicking and throwing that horrible INT showed he wasn't quite ready.
He was 11 of 22 for 98 yards prior to Saturday. Nothing in that screams, "he's ready".
He could have played against the chickens buy we led the game until 10 minutes left and only had 3 possessions following that. DJ threw a horrible INT on possession #2, and no doubt he would have been benched had there been more time in the game.
UNC jumped on us early, and DJ looked like hot doo doo, so yeah we had an opportunity and need early. The rest is history.
Cade was not ready and Dabo never "lied" about anything.

I get tired of hearing DJ is not why we lost. You are correct Dabo but he is the reason we didn't have a chance to win because you left his ### in the game way too long.

You dont generally replace QBs when youre winning. DJ, in spite of falling apart in the 2nd half, deserved a chance to win it, and with the chickens going up by only 1 with only 10 minutes left, we weren't going to throw Cade in that fire either. At the time it was the right call to let DJ go "win it". In hindsight not so much, but we all have 20/20 hindsight.

Cade stated to Mark Richt after the UNC game when asked about his practice with the first team, that he (cade) had not had any practice reps with the first team since fall practice. He stated that he did have the week of the UNC game about 1/3 of his practice reps. with the first team and DJ had the rest with the first team. So, why wouldn't DJ look better in practice.

Lucky to have Dabo. And I do not think he's a liar - that is crazy talk. He's the caretaker of the team and a damm fine coach who seeks out the best team chemistry. I believe Dabo overestimated the skill sets of DJ, and underestimated the skill sets and growth of Cade.
DW4 had 6 turnovers in one game (Pitt) and we lost it, and he was still better than DJ on his worst day. Clemson won the natl championship a few games later. Cade may turn it over more than DJ, and IMHO will have two to three times the number of passing & running TD's opening up the Offense for everyone else. What your friends saw in a controlled practice means nothing. Cade's play in the ACCCG said it all. All this will pass, but catharsis is natural.

Seems like you're the one posting. And to the extent someone else posted, no one's making you click on the link. There are titles just so you know. Those are things that show you what a post will be about before you click it.

We had the game won until 10 minutes left. That wasn't the time to change QBs, and it's nothing but a guess if we would have won with Cade.

One thing coaches need to understand is that certain guys ball out under the lights while others fizzle. I think this is what we had here. Cade was probably just trying too hard to impress the coaches while DJ was throwing 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage on most plays.
