in his very first season have to go through what he most likely will have to go through throughout this season and have to endure the headache and frustrations that is ahead for him with Monte Lee's players.Erik Bakich is such a great coach and he proved why at Michigan,so not even thinking that things won't get turned around because they will but it's just gonna have to happen with his recruiting class and signees plain and simple

This is very funny, the team is loaded look at all the rankings. Check out EB in Maryland and in a Big 10 that's weak and then tell me your dreams. He may will be good, but nothing shows he will be better than ML

Monte is and was always a Coit. I wish him and every team he ever coaches unending losses and unforgiving ncaa sanctions. Thought he was a puffed chest out arrogant A-hole. He was and always has been everything that a Coot is! Screw Monte.!!

What he did at UM is better than anything ML has ever did hear. He won early on with JL’s players. After that it was a slow decline. Glad he is in Columbia.

The overall talent is there. Clemson has consistently had top 20 recruiting classes even under Monty Lee. The coaching is what has been lacking, and Bakich can't turn that around in one season. However you could argue that the pitching talent is lacking. The bullpen is not strong at all and several players that Monty was starting are barely good enough to be short relievers under Bakich. Relief pitching cost us the series against UCF. You are correct that it will be a long season and I think we were prepared for that, but I do expect this team to look a lot better year over year. Grice is already better and hasn't hit a single HR yet.

A lot of top teams already have 2 losses. LSU loss today. Tennessee has 2 losses. Stanford has 2 losses. Texas A&M has 2 losses. Those are 3 top 5 teams. UCF has a decent club. We have been pretty even on paper with them. Too many walks. We get that under control we will be fine.

It’s just one series against a good opponent. Both games were competitive. EB has raved about the talent on this team “from the neck down”.
Let’s see how we do against the cootz since we swept last year. They seem to be hot but haven’t played anyone of note yet.
Lots of baseball left.

Coach Bakich is resilient. He will get things turned around--it's too early in the season to know for sure what lies ahead.

The offense will be just fine. Pitching isn’t going to be a huge strength but it won’t hinder us from making a postseason. Remember, the biggest talent Coach Bakich has IMO is his ability to have his teams ready for postseason tournament baseball and really believing in themselves. His teams usually improve throughout the season.
