Has anybody else noticed Shipley

yelling at his teammates for missing blocks?
This last game he was screaming at an offensive lineman and earlier in the season I've seen him do it to a WR.
I love his passion but that kind of on the field coaching from a fellow player is usually a quick way to divide a team.
I'm wondering if there is some divisiveness going on and that could explain the lack of chemistry particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

Uh, not in the slightest...only way that behavior divides a team is if the team is made up of victim-minded-little-bitches. Actually when you see this attitude at the highest levels it's usually not only well received, but required for elite success.

Which players did that?
I honestly don't remember one.
Bouleware was about the only player I remember that could rival Shipley's intensity and I don't remember him coming down on his teammates.

Is Shipley comfortable with his teammates yelling at him?

He isn’t perfect, not even close. So if he can dish it out, I hope he can take it.
I personally don’t think any player should be yelling at another player for making a mistake. They know they did it. Let the coaches do the correcting and disciplining.

around when he’s wide open and misses a catch. He flops around like the ball didn’t hit him in the hands and he had to dive for it when he just dropped it.
Also some of his runs he does the same thing when he’s touched. Other than that, he’s a hard nosed player!

What the Tigers need is a QB that will get in the OL and WRs face when they don't block or run the correct route. Years ago, I went back to watch a former team play and saw the QB get crushed on a bad block by the RT. In the huddle, he grabbed both tackles by the face mask and gave them and all the OL inbetween them a piece of his mind. It didn't cause problems and he was not hit like that again during that game. After the game, I asked him what he said, I can't repeat it but we had a good laugh. I'm not saying this should be the norm but if it's time for a leader to refocus the team, it's time.

I think it depends on the player.
Deshaun Watson getting in somebody's face would be different than Shipley.
I don't think DJ has earned that kind of respect either.

The way Ship has been getting trucked by blitzing linebackers, he has absolutely no right to yell at anyone about missing blocks!! Mafah is waaay better at blocking than Ship is, and I'd like to see him get a few more touches too. He's a more powerful runner just not as explosive as Ship.

Lol. A qb who gets to wear a "don't hurt me" jersey every practice, and thtow the ball away or slide or run out of bounds to avoid a hit at will during games...yelling at his teammates?
The response would probably be "shut the #### up or i'll kill you. Worry about yourself abd doing your own job "

1) that's called accountability. 2) you have no idea what he was saying.
Non issue either way bc someone has to start leading from the field.

Shipley screaming at the other players is called leadership and holding each other accountable. All elite teams need their leaders. I’m glad he’s doing it and wish someone on the defense would start holding them accountable to do your job.

^^^^ This!
It's called being a team leader. You get yelled at you can respond in 1 of 2 ways. 1. Sulk about it. 2. Get mad and knock the next guy on his @$$ with a pancake block showing what your capable of doing.
It's not what Ship's doing, it's how do they respond?
(BTW - Brady did this a couple of weeks ago, it's nothing new)

Has anyone seen any defensive players doing the same as Shipley? I remember seeing Skalski, Boulware and even Wilkins "jawing" at a teammate after a bad play. I don't recall seeing anyone doing that this year. Did I miss it. Where are the Alphas besides Shipley?

No, yelling and screaming at people when they mess up is NOT leadership.

Leadership is providing direction when needed, and setting a good example on and off the field.

Don't forget that around here that also includes when the coaches tell you that you have to talk to the media and you give some good sound bites. That is "vocal leadership"
