We’re in the conference Championship & playoffs & fighting for a National Championship! If we lose we’ll play in a bowl so we’ll know more soon enough!

We’re in a conference so weak the champion is going to be ranked behind a G5 team. Dabo needs to make serious coaching changes this offseason. Whatever our next step is, SEC/BIG16 or super league, we aren’t ready for it with todays staff

Yea. He’ll probably wait until the season is over to make those decisions/changes.

I actually think it's pretty high, but like with Streeter, it won't happen until after a bowl game. Let's not forget that we won the conference and played in the Orange Bowl that year, and that had no bearing on the situation. I think the lack of ability to develop his position group, while also seeing the drop off from the 1's to the 2's, will force his hand.

One reason for the glaring drop off from 1's to 2's is the fact we've been playing close games most of the season the last several years

Highly unlikely, only Venables being interested in returning could possibly change that right now.

Doesn't seem likely that anyone that high would get replaced. OC and DC have only been in place a few years.
I do hope some position coach changes are coming. Clemson could use some more Matt Lukes.

it is very likely. in case yall havent noticed, Recruiting was and is a dumpster fire! Goodwin is not able to recruit like venables did. How can you walk into a recruits house never having played a down of college football and convince someone to play for you??? DABO made a huge blunder with this hire and has to fix it now. The offense is equally inept but Riley probably has a better chance of remaining . Listening to DABO talk to the media has become tough , he seems out of touch with the reality of his issues and seems happy being middle of the road competitive now against lesser teams and just conceding the losses to better teams. I guess i would feel better if he had taken blame for not playing Brown in the 4th quarter, but he hasnt and does not seem to think he really messed up there. This was the biggest coaching blunder nationwide all year and even national media are talking about it, there has to be accountability for it, and unless DABO IS firing himself, i guess Goodwin has to take the fall for it.

I agree. It's hard for Goodwin to make a solid recruiting pitch to a recruit who's goal is to play on Sundays.
I'm not sure what the thinking behind promoting Goodwin was....was the idea that "Clemson sells itself" is going to magically negate a lack of actual coaching/playing experience? Gotta wonder.

Unclear, I do know Dabo is not afraid of making changes.

The game has changed rapidly these past 3-5 years. UGA had defensive issues, Ohio state, bama, Texas, usc, and the list goes on. We remember the old days where the defensive line dominated and #### down the run game. Now, everyone has a good passing game and defensive backs and fast linebackers are more important. I don’t like how we failed to stop the run. Is that scheme? Or talent?
Dabo will review at season end, bring in consultants, and if it was leadership, he will make changes.
My Christmas wish list. A defense that stops the run. A more creative offense that throws to backs who can run routes and catch the ball. A offense that utilizes the tight ends more. Special teams coach who can solve issues and create. We have not had a punter who flipped the field in a while. 38-40 yard punts. Did we have a single kick return over 30 yards this year? Obviously, we can’t block on field goals. Etc.
Come on Santa! I’ve been good this year. Ok, not so much, but I will try harder next year!

It's just like every year. We fall short of expectations but do just enough at the end to get in the ACC game. Same this year and if we will the next game will likely make the playoffs. No way under God's green earth Dabo gets rid of anyone. There may be a sacrificial position coach but not the coordinators.

History indicates Dabo does fire coordinators related to performance, and does hire "outsiders."
He fired Rob Spence. He fired Billy Napier. He fired Kevin Steele. He fired Brandon Streeter.
He hired Chad Morris. He hired Brent Venables. He hired Garret Riley.
I think Wes isn't a DC but is valuable to the staff. I think he will replace him in the offseason. It's been 3 years, which is a fair amount of time.

Any changes he makes will probably be after the Holiday Bowl or the playoff if they make it.
