How does Texas not have a Top 25 class?

You don't even have to leave your front porch there and can sign a Top 5 class. I know they've been down and are in the middle of a coaching change but they should be Top 15 on name alone.

Texas is ranked 32. If you don't find that off I can't help you. Not to mention Texas being behind the likes of UK, Miss St, Colorado, Maryland,and USuCk. We are talking about TEXAS. One of the best facilities, big money donors, talent rich TEXAS.

Oregon on the other hand has had 1 losing season since 2004 and has been to 2 NCGs since Texas last made a trip...

in their area that have done extremely well and built up viable programs. That has hurt their recruiting in the state.
UT and OU aren't the only schools for texas hs players to choose from now.

A&M is the #1 choice for many of the Texas players, Baylor and TCU are much bigger players now than they were ~5 years ago, and Houston has even managed to keep some of the local talent there. Not to mention schools like OU and LSU are close by and go into Texas.
Texas needs to restore their image and their brand. Right now they just don't have the same pull that they used to and there are many, many more legit options for recruits in that area than there used to be.

Valid point, but LSU had a winning season, won their Bowl and has immediate chance for a 10-11 win season. Oregon... Honestly hard to read. I think now that other schools have caught up on the 57 uniform combos, and facilities, Oregon's luster had faded. Speaking of facilities, Texas is not known for grest ones.

Coaching change plus Texas is not on par from years past. Gonna take a few years to get back to winning consistently. They got a good one though.

Texas has the "brand" but has been a dumpster fire since brown left (started before). Other teams have surpassed them in the win column and are starting to level the playing field in recruiting.
The truth is that if they have a 35th ranked recruiting class, that's still higher than they should have had their last SEVERAL teams end up ranked so it is still an improvement.
