How does any coach manage the Portal?

I watched Dion s team meeting. He asked his players not to run to the portal. He asked them to talk to him first. This seems to be an impossible situation for a Coaching staff.

You don't want your stars to leave, but some will if someone offers them more $. But you also don't want your good players to leave. The one that play good minute.

Then you have the group that just want more playing time.

But at the same time you maybe trying to get good players to enter the portal and transfer to your school.

So you really have no idea who will be on your team come the spring.

they should but several generations including Deion of the all about me attitude makes that unlikely.
