Three things

|

#1: FSU's DL and secondary gave Tajh fits. #2: Our DL got zero pressure on Winston all night. #3: They're just better than us right now. It happens. Won't always be that way.
Can't win a game like that. It's strange to think that Auburn, a team with such a crap defense all year, was able to consistently get to Winston.
I'm thinking they were a little star-struck for a while.

defense ready to play tonight against FSU. Auburn's defense tonight looked much better than they have all year. They showed spurts of great defensive line play from time to time this year, but their secondary played better tonight than they have all year. They were all over the FSU receivers most of the night.

I wonder how we would have done with a month to prepare

No doubt that FSU was just better than us. They beat our zone scheme all night long. Our O line didn't control the line of scrimmage causing Tajh to make a lot of mistakes. They were just the better team. They're better than Auburn too. They just let the hype get to them, but good teams can overcome that.

Our offense is a bit more like FSU is used to seeing. Kind of like playing Georgia Tech for the first time.

Their DBS could lock up fsus wrs with tight coverage off the line. By the time wrs got open the pass rush was there.
We just didn't have the DBS to do that. Ours weren't good enough to press and we got picked apart underneath which opened up everything else.
That and the disastrous start with all the turnovers.

didn't play well in most of 1st half but they are tremendously talented. There is NFL talent all over their lineup.

The FSU team that Auburn played was told they'd win by double digits. They didn't play with that edge like they did against us.
