How did so few voices gain so much influence over the NCAA?

Feb 14, 2014, 8:37 AM

This proposed rule change under the guise of "player safety" to possibly speed the rule change through in a non-rule change year with so little support seems highly unusual.

Should we call it The Nick Saban rule? How does this happen?

hopefully the outcry about this joke of a rule will be so severe they will drop it. this is the most ridiculous piece of puff legislation I've ever seen.

safety angle which is obviously a hot topic right now at all levels of football. NFL and NCAA both seem to be erring on the side of caution right now even though there's been little good statistical data presented on any of these issues. It seems like one of those "if it seems true it must be true" situations and nobody wants to risk future lawsuits...
