All I know is that something has to change, and fast. If this is all that they can come up with after almost 2 weeks to prepare for one of the worst teams in the league, then I just don’t know

Well we have like 85 players but apparently only about 40 of them are legitimate college football players. The rest are on the roster for other reasons. When we had all time greats among those 40 then it didn't really matter. Now that we don't we are being exposed as only having about half of the real players we should have.

Complacency. Handing out scholarships to guys who “deserve” them instead of football players. Not trying to upgrade the offense and instead settling with what’s worked in the past. Continuing to accept the pi$$ poor play the O-line has produced through the years. Subbing in players and giving guys snaps when you should keep the best on the field if the games close. Not understand that a good tight-end will have a field day against BV defense. Also continuing with getting the call in very late for defensive play calls even if a O is running hurry up.
It really frustrates me that Trevor freaking Lawrence won a chip his true Freshman year but never another one another. That is when the regression started.
I’ll say other than Bama, Clemson had the best run but just because you’re successful doesn’t mean you settle with being average after. I remember being at games and getting beaten by Matt Ryan. I remember being in high school and having to listen to all the stupid u or sc fans through some years of the losing streak. I understand you can’t win it all every year but with the expectations set by this staff anything less then 10 wins a year and at least an appearance in the ACC chip is unacceptable.
It’s going to be interesting with how the rest of the season goes and the changes (if any) that will happen in the off season.

It really didn’t happen overnight…it may have started earlier…but had definitely started by TL’s Soph year. We started giving scholarships to coaches sons…sure a couple are actually decent players but shouldn’t sniff the 3 deep on an elite team. None of them would see the field for BAMA.
Playcalling was bad even then, but we had a superstar QB and great RB/WR’s that could overcome most of the bad/predictable plays against lesser opponents. When opponent talent was equal or better, you got a lucky win against OHST and ugly losses to LSU and finally against OHST.
Finally…once all that elite offensive talent left…the weaknesses became obvious. It was like looking at a lake at full pond…as soon as the talent level on offense dropped a few feet, all those stumps and rocks appeared.
