How big of a joke is the Heisman?

Dec 15, 2019, 3:57 PM

Ohio St had 3 of the top 6 players in the voting.

Two of those 3 would be backups if they played for Clemson.

No way Justin Fields beats out TL.

And no way J K Dobbins beats out ETN.

NO WAY. NO HOW.

Until they stop this early voting and not waiting until the season is over, it is nothing no more than a popularity contest that ESECPN keeps hyping. No votes should be cast until the final game is played. Stop this media crap on who they want.

Chase Young is the most dominant player in the country, Fields had 40 td/1 int, and to suggest Dobbins is not on Etienne's level is ridiculous. They are both great. And the guy who deserved to win did in fact win. Other teams are also capable of having great players too. Dabo has no interest in player stats, if he wanted to, he could have TL16 throw for 55-60 td's next year, but it won't happen. Just keep the titles coming and leave the individual stuff to others

They leave there players late into the 4th quarter. We played starters once the entire 4th quarter. If TL played the entire game every game he would have had joe burrow numbers. Take the good with the bad.

To be fair Justin Fields had less second half attempts than TL. Agree with you on Burrow and Hurts though that they had quite a bit more opportunity to put up stats. Although again they played more ranked teams so that probably is the reason they were playing deeper into games. Not really TL or Etienne's fault that the ACC sucked so bad, but obviously that's going to hurt their chances in the eyes of the Heisman voters.

Lawrence was the only playoff QB not to get an invite.***

Yea you just don’t watch college football... I love TR but he isn’t the best player in CF this year.

It is a joke (because od Deshaun), but I think they have it right this year. LSU is nothing without burrow. As for the other guys, like it or not, TL threw too many INTs early in the season. ETN was hurt by not playing the whole game and padding his stats. Simmons probably is the best player in cfb, but it’s tough for a lb to win over a qb.

We pursue championships as it should be. Hope our guys prove them wrong in the coming weeks.
