Williams and Hennessy lead No. 11 Clemson in rout of No. 10 Dallas Baptist

Good pitching by Jacob Hennessy and good hitting by Chris Williams were the order of the day Friday. Clemson pounded out 12 runs and 18 hits, Williams scored four and drove in four, and Hennessy reached career-highs in innings pitched and strikeouts as No. 11 Clemson defeated No. 10 Dallas Baptist 12-1 on a sun-splashed afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium Friday. He is not getting the accolades because of Chris, but he is key. Best clutch hitter outside of Williams.

Big Bert was coming at the end of last year. He has to be the best surprise of
the young season so far. Monte was concerned about the offense early when he
was unsure of the pitching staff. Well we look extremely good so far, best we
have looked early in many years.

Nope. 3-1. Game with Baylor washed out. They’re a good team and that’s what makes this such an impressive win. Hennessey had that changeup dancing.
