I realize our D has something to prove, but so does LSU. Their D kind of sucked.

They gave up the 3rd most points in the SEC last year. They were only a few points away from the 2nd worst defense as far as points allowed in the SEC last season.

But they were playing SEC offenses so you have divide that number by 2 to get their “real” stats
I heard it on espn, so it must be true

Maybe Cade will throw a touch down versus an SEC school?

We need the Clemson offense not to wear out the Clemson defense.
The Clemson defense needs to put together many 3 and outs on the LSU offense.

Hope it's not a replay of last time where the defense actually went out and dominated but it was our very prolific offense that suddenly struggled and eventually caused the defense to run out of gas.

LSU is replacing at least 4 of their starting 5 offensive linemen. Clemson

has an offensive line that has been together for quite some time. Their QB is not very mobile. He averaged -3 yards rushing per game, -1.1 per carry with a long run of 14 yards last year. Their entire team ran for 1,500 yards last year compared to our 2,400 yards.
It's going to be a tough row to hoe for that LSU offense trying to find its rhythm in the first game of the season.

If you go through all the Top Ten PFF grades by position, I did not see a single LSU player unless I accidentally missed them. Compare that to Clemson players on the Top 10 list:
Cade #1 Blake Miller #6 Wesco #8 - both Williams and Moore had honorable mention PWoo #1 Parker #3 Terrell #3
By player rankings based on previous success, we look a lot more talented by PFF ratings.
When scouring the lists, I found a few takeaways. Alabama is still loaded, Auburn had several players recognized on lists, Coots had one player DE Stewart (he is pretty good), Iowa still has talent in trenches like always, Ohio St once again has the #1 WR, I didnt see any FSU guys, Duke has 2-3 on the list. Just quick alaysis if you strictly look at these top rankings as a Team, Bama should be #1, Auburn, Clemson and Ohio St should be top teams with ND knocking close to top 5.
But I am sure none of this matters if the teams are not coached properly.
