Homer Jordon's first down late in the Orange Bowl to seal the win was just as big as Renfrow's catch against Bama. Two of the most awesome Clemson moments I can remember.

I was there. seems as if he ran about 50 yards to get that 8 or so yards .

I wonder if we will see a similar post about Tajh Boyd or Sammy Watkins in the future.

In 2 Orange Bowls:

Tajh Boyd threw for 628 yards and 7 TDs. He also rushed for 159 yards and an additional TD. Just shy of 800 yards and 8 TDs in 2 games!

Sammy Watkins had 21 catches for 293 yards (16 for 227 in Jan 2014) and 3 TDs. He also added 181 KR yards and 5 rushing yards for a total of 479 all purpose yards in 2 games.

Both players were 1-1 in the games which could hurt them, but those are some impressive stat lines for sure!

I started at Clemson in the fall of '82. The summer before I went up for orientation, and walked through the Loggia (is that even there anymore?) where there was a big screen TV showing a replay of the game. I stopped to watch.

It was near the end of the game, and after a few minutes, I heard a guy next to me say, kind of quietly, "man I was tired."

I looked at him, and it was Homer Jordan. I was too star-struck to say anything.

I weighed maybe 160 at the time, and I swear he didn't look any bigger than me.
