"HITTING COACH" needs a performance review

In case nobody else noticed it in the boxscores, the Tigers struck out 11 times on Friday and 16 times on Saturday. This has got to get improved moving forward...you've got a 50/50 chance if you put the ball in play & zero chance with the whiff. Our pitchers can't survive having to hold down the opponents to 2 or 3 runs a game all season.

Yeah he’s a whiny turd who can’t handle any Clemson criticism, justified or not, and just “get off my lawn’s” the post. Obviously. Gotta ignore this fool

The rate they are striking out is alarming especially for a team that so far has shown so little power. If you are not going to hit for power then you got to make contact & put the ball in play. They have struck out double digits in the first two games in this series & they are well on their way to another double digit strike out game.

It’s amazing to me how you can’t show any kind of concern without everyone getting bent out of shape. If you can acknowledge the positives than you certainly can acknowledge the not so positive. Clemson’s pitching has been better than I expected.

Get them a boat paddle to swing. Oh wait that probably wouldn't reach some of the balls they swinging at.

Absolutely. He hit for power at Michigan & I expect him to provide some power of the tigers this year. He certainly is big enough to hit for power.

A few thoughts:
—Early in the season and try not to over react game to game. Plus, SC has a good team imo. They WERE undefeated prior to Clemson.
—I prefer to look at OBP (on base percentage) and our Tigers seemingly have a fair number of walks so far during this young season. I have not researched the numbers however.
— This home plate umpire has an erratic strike zone. Very inconsistent. As such, hitters on BOTH sides are forced to swing at more pitches out of the zone….which results in…yup, more Ks.
— Last note. It’s baseball. There will be pitching duels some games. Others a HR derby. And everything in between. We as fans have to try not to overreact to everything.
Go Tigers
