Friday night, watched the baseball boys give up a lot of runs in 3 innings then share a lot of beer at Shoeless.
Saturday, back to Shoeless for American Home Brew day and some May 4th nerd stuff that I didn't understand. Let there to head to Clemson to hang out with my buddy for his birthday. I didn't pack a go back an managed to stay sober and come on that night.
Sunday, a little bit of cleaning and a little bit of work on the next YouTube video until I realized the screws I had on had simply would not work for this project. I've simply got to get faster and making these and dedicate more time. I have fun doing other stuff too so sometimes that gets in the way.

Sat - Took old grill to the dump. Went to in-laws for dinner and held the ladder while FIL climbed up 20 ft with a chainsaw to cut limbs.
Sun - Church in the morning, used new grill for first time on ribeyes because only 2 kids.

I should be bird-free for years to come. You are right, they weren't very pretty but you can't tell since I painted them and put them up 8 ft on top of the columns. Appreciate it.

Son of had a baseball game, immediately after his team won to play in little league championship we were treated to the Blue Angels (air show across the street).
Had a barbeque/camp out thing with daughter of and her equestrian team but KMS doesn't do tent camping so peaced out and slept in my own comfy bed. She apparently didn't sleep at all which means she was super fun to be around Sunday.
This time of year always gets hectic, trying to squeeze in all the things before school and sports seasons are over.
Sunday the kids were both feeling under the weather and husband of had to head out of town for work so it was just me and my 2 best frands (dogs). We did lots of long walks, laundry, meal prep for the week. All in all a nice little weekend. Thanks to sick kids I got to work from home yesterday and get more accomplished around the house.

Beautiful weekend!
A lot of the usual stuff, but, I did get my suppressor last week! That means range time and it was really fun. Since I do my own loads I need to check point of impact. It was off a couple of inches but, 13 total shots had me zeroed real nice like. Hated to stop shooting... but I had played enough. Oh, for those who might be in the market for a suppressor, it took me TWO days to get approval was my form was submitted to the ATF. From start to finish, with my local gun shop (using silencer shop), the total process (counting the two weekends) was Eight days.

Went up to Lake Wylie for a Derby party. Bid on and won the Clemson horse in the auction. He lost by a nose and I didn't win the $2,000+ pot. Got shamammered afterwards.

High pressure weekend. Literally. Pressure washed the driveway, 2 sidewalks, 2 kayaks, some outdoor furniture and a deck. Trimmed the zaleyurs too.
Got a hair cut (actually got them all cut). Watched "Unfrosted" sattidy night with Seinfeld, Hugh Grant, Amy Schumer. A stoopid, funny diversion from real movies. Worth the 90 min or so for a laugh.
Grilled some dead chicken lass nite. Covered it in Old Mule BBQ sauce (from Columbus, NC). Grilled some corn on the cob. Quite good.
5/10 (9.5/19 on the RH Covids scale). Deductions for manual labor.
Would due a gin

Thursday night our boss at job 1 passed away somewhat unexpectedly (we knew he had cancer but was on a long term treatment plan) so Friday was the start of dealing with that. We are a small nonprofit outreach center attached to a state agency that was founded by the boss so our task going forward is to protect his legacy from the bureaucrats.
Saturday damp day of hanging out with J & the dogs, made a bunch of hard phone calls to let people know about our boss, and got some piddling house repairs done Saturday evening had a meatup with p6fuller® at Delaneys to share a few beers and accept delivery of some Bock from OMB - many thanks.
Sunday was usual with mom - the pork chops at Longhorn are pretty good Finished the evening by getting a lot of paperwork done for job #3

Fri - solo dad, picked up pizza. Kids were miserable
Sat - breakfast then ran to pick up some plants for a raised bed. Lunch, nap, then birthday party. Met some new kinda cool daycare parents. Ate supper down at Marina
Sun - breakfast then ran errands. Planted plants in planter, played outside, cooked steak.
Solo this week, trucking my kids to ATL to see grandma. Took a turn for the worst over the last few days...not looking forward to any of it

Friday, mostly a fair amount of nothing.
Saturday, hunkered down inside with some serious rain. It calmed down after lunch so went ahead and made a grocery run, came home and cooked a batch of hot dog chili, then froze it in portion-size containers. Watched Andy Griffith's first movie, A Face In The Crowd on TCM. An absolute classic if you haven't seen it before.
Sunday, morning hike with the pup, a few inside chores, headed up to Charlotte for a couple of hours because the Tipsy Burro had their Cinco de Mayo bash and watched The Pintos play. Not a bad set, but not real polished either. These guys all play in other local bands but get together a couple of times a year as The Pintos and do a bunch of 80s/90s alt-country. They have fun mistakes and all, so the crowd had fun. Back home early evening to stroll the pup and as we were coming back up the driveway, we ran into a quite large copperhead. Pup inside, Mossberg outside, viper dead. Back inside to eat arepas and charro beans, then did nothing the rest of the night.
I've had more exciting weekends but even with all the crappy weather, I'll still go 18/19 Covids.

I gather copperheads smell really bad when you clean them. Didn't have the time to consider that last night, mostly just want to make sure there's one less to deal with because the dog and cats like to roam around the yard in the evenings.

After a five year absence of my goodest boy, we adopted a goodest girl from a local rescue. So far, so good over the weekend - foster had her pretty much housebroken and crate trained. Cat isn’t too sure of her, and has laid down the law a few times when the puppy got a little brave. The twins are happy to have something with as much energy as they have. And it’s nice to have a dog again.

Always glad to hear that someone is adopting from a rescue. Working at animal rescues is something I plan to do in retirement (which isn't that far away now). We've had a lot of dogs and cats dumped out here over the years and we'll always foster until we can rehome or find rescues to take them. It's also why I have two cats now.
But yeah...congrats!

Sirriusly, It was busy, productive. I mowed grass and put out some fertilizer/weed killer before and in between the rain. Made obligatory trip to Lowes and HD. Raised the windows Sat night so we could hear and smell the rain and fresh, cool air while we watched "On Patrol: Live" as I sipped a bourbon:
It sure went by fast.

Friday: Worked late.
Saturday: Got the grass cut before the rain started but couldn't get the tractor loaded because the arm was seized on the bush hog.
Sunday: Brought the 20 lb. mallet and made the arm come off of the bush hog. Spent the next 3 hours pushing the piles of dirt from where they dug the foundation 3 years ago back to the house and regraded it. Also got rid of the mound of fill dirt where they filled in the old septic tank 3 years ago before digging the foundation. And now I can barely move my neck.
Then went to the pool which I immediately regretted after my son's 8th "dad" within 40 seconds of getting there.

my old as>s was getting kinda tired. Got in free cause I was on "the list" and drank for really cheap all night. Wife had one drink, I had 6 or 7 and the bill was $11. I gave them a big tip. Band was good. I knew 4 or 5 songs, we left around midnight because babysitter is expensive.
Up Saturday morning to not go to Charlotte, but my brothers did and their family did and they got drenched at the 5k. We went to a 9:00 soccer match for middle son, rec league, 7-0 win. Son had 2 goals and played half the game in goal. Daughter had a 12:00 rec league match at another field, went there and they won 3-0, then back to the first location for middle son's second match of the day, a 10-2 win, he played goal the whole time. Other team had a kid whose cleats fell apart while playing, but they also had 2 really good players who single handedly kept them semi in it. At one time, it was 4-2 but then our team pulled away. Rec league is insane, some good players, some bad players, kids coming off crying, parents yelling at refs, quite interesting. Took youngest and daughter to hood pool for first time this year, we were only ones out there for a couple hours. Ordered chinese takeout and watched Unfrosted. Did not frost anything.
Sunday morning up and off to Walmart to buy the things we can get cheaper at Walmart. Went for coffee filters and spent $250 on paper towels, toilet paper, chips, bread, shampoo, face wash, etc. Met daughter and wife for lunch and went to Old Navy to hate myself for 45 minutes while we bought stuff for my kids who already have plenty of stuff. However, middle son is too big for his swim trunks so we had to buy everybody something to be fair (Fu>ck that sh>it, when I was a kid I got whatever was leftover from my older brother). Then a surf shop to pick up a couple pairs of short for myself. Pool for a couple hours, neighbors were there, kids had a great time, Greenr actually got in the water, rain held off. Went to get Burrito Shak because Cinco de Cuatro and then Harris Teeter to buy the rest of groceries, also $250. Yes fans, if you are keeping track, that is $500 for groceries yesterday.
/weekend
Would do again, probably soon, out of necessity.

For the life of me I can't remember what I did Friday night. And not because it was so wild.
Saturday I had a brunch date with the wife and hit the supermarket. F1 Sprint race at noon and then GP qualifying at 4:00. Wife went to bed early and I pumped jams.
Sunday was lazy af. Grand Prix at 4:00. Best race of the year so far and an awesome result for Lando. Dinner was taco bowls for cinco de Mayo: Fried flour tortillas and filled them with tinga chicken, queso fresco, lettuce and refried beans.

Took off Friday afternoon, and wife of and I dropped off jet skis that I had been working on at the lake, then proceeded to Tigertown to watch the bag boys drop one to the bees. We are potentially banning ourselves from going back to Clemson this season for baseball, been to 2 games, Friday, and prior was Kennesaw State. After game met our twins at Loose Change for a drink, got dinner at walkons (meh). Sauntered home Sat spent most of day cleaning off and sealing tile on screened porch. Met friends for dinner. Sunday cut grass, met friends downtown to buy drink for their now 21 year old offspring's birthday, dinner at mexican place, home and early to bed.

Friday - work
Saturday - huge party at the house. Bought a new grill. Drank a TON of Woodford. Derby was good.
Sunday - woke up. Played with kids. Flew to Asheville. Cookout with family. Drank too much.
Monday - not sure. Heading to the gym to get in a good workout. Probably Mezzaluna for lunch. Not sure what else will happen.
No rating yet. Will give one tomorrow.

Regular seats for Sunday game, taught the nerds a lesson! Mrs made a dessert Sat to die for. Strawberry Shortcake Lush. Has a shortbread cookie crumb crust, strawberries mixed in cream center, whipped cream top and more berries on top! Yum! Had grilled pork chops for Sunday dinner, opened a Sonoma Red, was #####, drain pour. Next opened a very nice Pinot Noir and dinner was saved! Picked up Mrs a new Apple Watch that she’ll get soon!

Side gig writing can be hard when you are not a subject effort. Anyone here an expert on the new USDOT rules on DBE and ACDBE contracting?
Fri - only win, Magic take Game 6
Sat - fun Derby party, knowing nothing about horses save Sierra Leone, I hope for, then the other MSynan actually draws Sierra Leone in the betting pool. We lose by a nose Get home from party, and Orlando City regreses further, dropping another home game
Sun - Magic lose Game 7, blowing 18 point lead in process. Denny Hamlin leads with 5 laps to go and manages to finish 5th
5 out of 19 COVIDS. Would drink the bourbons my friend had again even though I don't care much for the brown stuff
