Maybe the Tiger coaches are playing tetris when

Sep 20, 2021, 12:23 PM

everyone else is playing jenga.

Mmmkay. We used to score a bunch of points AND allow a bunch of points. RIGHT?

Now we don't score a bunch of points AND don't allow a bunch of points. RIGHT?

Maybe it's a shift in strategy. Perhaps CDS, CBV, and CTE are trying to revolutionize the game and get it back to it's old 1980s self.

ANYONE THOUGHT OF THIS YET?

as long as we don't allow anyone to score TDs

Sep 20, 2021, 12:24 PM

Cat on a tin roof, dogs in a pile,
Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile!!!!

And all we really have to do on offense is

Sep 20, 2021, 12:25 PM

run some clock and get a few first downs so our Tiger Defense can rest. Then BOOM punt that ball down there and hem em up deep.

We have to worry about the offense outscoring itself...

Sep 20, 2021, 12:38 PM [ in reply to as long as we don't allow anyone to score TDs ]

It cost us the UGA game. 7-3.

It almost cost us the GT game. They were a recovered fumble/2-pt from going to overtime.

The defense can stop the other team from scoring, but can the offense?

TE is definitely playing Jenga

pulling out foundational pieces and hoping everything doesn't fall apart.

Dabo actually just hired a new Tetris coordinator.

Sep 20, 2021, 12:28 PM

It's the son of the waterboy who mixed the gatorade for the team when he was at Alabama and although he's never taught anyone how to play Tetris, he was really good at jigsaw puzzles when he was little.

That Joke is so 3 hires ago

Sep 20, 2021, 12:33 PM

He's actually hiring Dwayne Allen because he was good at football and has played jenga a time or two before.

I hear that next year Will Swinney will be taking over

not just a waterboy but he was the BEST WATERBOY HE COULD BE and then the boy went on to work on a landscaping crew that cut grass for Dabo's commercial real estate clients and now he has a nice family that will mix well at the Swinney Sunday afternoon family bbqs and the boy's wife is actually the great great great niece of Mrs Stallings.

Hunter Renfrow whenever he is done with the NFL in 20 years.

Not sure about the strategy

Sep 20, 2021, 1:23 PM

Skalski looked about dead on that goal line stand, and Shipley is going to get Marcus Lattimore'd (did ETN ever get 21 carries in a game?) - not sure our players can take these low scoring affairs...

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Skalski

Sep 20, 2021, 1:26 PM

He drives me crazy once in a while on some head scratching plays, but there's not a person on the field who wants to win more than he does---it's hard not to like and respect that.

I’m sure you and others have seen this …..

Anyway this is what you call leaving on the field.

linebackers coach!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Doesn't he graduate this year?

Sep 20, 2021, 1:55 PM

2023, 2024 at the latest on the staff. He'll need to spend 2022 as the director of the Greater Belton-Honea Path YMCA Tee-Ball league so he has a little big time coaching experience under his belt. He's gotta earn that $250k starting salary.

Any other universe, he'd be changing oil at the Central Walmart Automotive Center and moonlighting as a personal trainer at Junkyard Fitness in Anderson.
