Hunter Renfrow has more than proved himself as a go to big time receiver, and rest assured he won't be over looked by any team, even if a young Jerry Rise was catching balls for us!!!

I think you guys missed an opportunity here to add a little more depth to Hunter Renfrow's accomplishments at Clemson. I know that wasn't the specific purpose of the analysis, but still... hear me out.
Here's how Renfrow performed the previous 3 seasons:
Receptions: 33, 44, 55 (Avg. 44 per year)
Rec. Yards: 492, 495, 571 (Avg. 519 per year)
TDs: 5, 6, 3 (Avg. 5 per year)
If we assume he produces at his average in 2018, he will be in the Top 10 all-time of Clemson WRs in Total Career Receptions and Total Career TDs. And, he'll be just shy of cracking the Top 10 in Total Career Receiving Yards.
He will have surpassed legends like Perry Tuttle, Rod Gardner and Jacoby Ford in receptions and Jordan Leggett, Artavis Scott (tie) and Derrick Hamilton in TDs.
If he has a slightly better 2018 than 2019, he'll be Top 10 in Receptions, Yards and TDs. This is a Ring of Honor career. So, while we're all enamored by Tee Higgins, I would've focused a bit more on Renfrow and how he's tracking towards being one of the most productive WRs in Clemson history. His productivity in 2018 will rewrite our record books.

Do you disagree with my comment "I know that wasn't the specific purpose of the analysis" or how about when I point out that Hunter's productivity will rewrite the record books in 2018?
My point here is that any discussion on WR productivity in 2018 should feature Hunter Renfrow, not have him as an afterthought. He's a returning 3 year starter. He is a major factor in our success in the passing game. And if KB is the starter, he might be the only guy able to get open and catch balls within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage.

We can talk about receivers all we want. Nuke and Sammy could come back, but they need a QB to get them the ball. Bryant did a very good job last year, but his ceiling is too low from what I have seen from a passing standpoint.

That is only bc his ceiling is very low when it comes to getting the ball in our receivers hands down field. No matter how much preaching is done in KB's behalf of how he can hit the short yardage receivers 85% of the time, the truth is that we still don't have a deep ball threat, and when a team doesn't have a deep ball threat the safeties are going to play up to help take away the short yardage stuff and make it more dangerous for a QB to throw an INT, that is the reason KB called his own number so much, and that is bc his receivers were covered with safeties laid back waiting for the ball to leave his hand so they can break to the ball. Without at least a 60% long ball threat, the running lanes are going to be congested, and the short yardage stuff is covered by safeties coming up in short yardage coverage!!! Even with receivers with speed that maybe can get open in a couple of seconds, KB will have already called his own number and running the ball before that happens... Some refuse to believe that if not for our defense last year, we would have lost more than the 1 regular season game....

but Williams made 2-3 catches in that game that nobody else on the roster could've made, and i think he made one of them on each of our last two TD drives. Renfrow has some of the best hands I've ever seen, but he's not going up and high pointing the ball over 6 ft+ corners.
We didn't have anybody in 2017 that could make those catches and that was one of the things that hurt our passing game. Say what you will about Kelly Bryant, but our WR corp in 2017 just wasn't as dynamic as it was the previous year.

The running backs more involved in the passing game this year. Getting the ball to an open Feaster or ETN could bring some real excitement to the game. Hopefully we will have a deep passing game also but that will happen only if the QB, who ever he is, has time to let the routes develop. It must be better than last year or no receiver will put up big numbers. Personally, I hope Williams or either of the other TEs becomes a big play guy.

Nothing about the Clemson 2017 offense was as dynamic as the 2016 group. No Gallman, no Leggett, no Scott, no DW4, and even the Oline took a step back, IMO. I do believe the 2018 offense will be better than last year. If TL's presence doesn't make KB better, then KB's presence will be found on the bench, plain and simple. Hate to be so blunt, but I do believe KB has to be able to complete some more stuff beyond 20 yards. I do think ETN, Feaster and Choice will be outstanding. Hopefully (?), the Oline will do a better job. The blocking on the strong side has to be much better. And with Huegel back I think the kicking game will be better. Hope the Special Team units can improve overall. I know I'm drifting here, but just felt like getting my two pennies in.

Fact: When the game is on the line & you need to make a pass to move the chains or get the first down or score in the redzone, if you’re a coach, who’s your number one target? Mike Williams, Tee Higgins, or Hunter Renfrow. I think we all know the answer to that one.

Here, check out some stats from last year: http://www.espn.com/college-football/team/stats/_/id/228/clemson-tigers
Renfrow is the most dependable option we have and he plays his position exceptionally well. He is not a boundry guy like Sammy or Mike or Deon. He's our slot WR. His job isn't to stretch the field, although he's done that in the past.
But, never fear, we will have 2 other WRs on the field and they'll play their role. Deon should have had a monster year last year, but Deshaun wasn't our QB. If KB improves or TL takes over, then you'll see guys like Higgins with 1,000+ yards and 15 TDs. Hunter will never have those stats because of the position he plays.
