Antonio Williams

Antonio Williams is displaying his athleticism more with every game. Except that one play when he was 20 yds down field before the ball was snapped. Dabo even had to smile about that. But Antonion is just quicker than others and it is showing. Looks like now is our punt returner in addition to being a superb receiver. He is something and will be much more in the future.

I think he’s a future 1st or 2nd rounder.

I believe that was EJ Williams on the false start. Antonio did have a fumble on one of his receptions, but did great otherwise.

True kbtiger but you have to admit his run for a touchdown was awesome ? Defenses must have picked up on him running loose with the ball.

One of those fumbles was just effort on his part to make a play with 3 people around him trying to knock it out. I hate to say go down in that situation but in hindsight it might not have been a bad move.

He’s out best wide receiver and it’s not even close.

He runs great routes but equally important is his body control. He always has his hips in the right place when making a catch which is really important. Lastly he attacks contested balls and let’s the ball lead him when he’s open. How you catch a pass matters and he’s really good at it. Those things sound simple but they make a huge difference in drop rate and YAC.

He is the only WR that right now looks like our WR Corp used to look. DJ was terrible last year and terribly inconsistent this year. He looked pretty good when He was throwing to Amari Rogers and Cornell Powell. Not making excuses for DJ but it is a factor.

Why not run those little flip passes like Deshaun use to do so often to the slot receiver. That play seemed to work a high percentage of the time.
Also watching games last night our screen play is not ran like other teams I have watched. It has been the same for years so looks like Streeter was taught this same deal and keeps trying it.

I know what you mean. It's like he is thinking faster than the defenders. He sees an opportunity and makes it work.

Watch his TD catch against L'Ville and see how he reaches out and catches the ball before the ball gets to him.

He seems to be playing with more “want to” than anyone else except possibly Shipley. He is also the only guy we have on offense that can consistently make the first guy miss right now.

I’m on the Mafah bandwagon… guy just does not go down on first contact.
Don’t get me wrong I love Shipley as well just wonder sometimes how Mafah would do with more of the workload.
Gone are the days when some of our backs seemed to get stronger as the game went along.
