It looks like he's locking on to the #1 receiver. If he's not open he continues to stare him down until he gets sacked or the pocket has collapsed and it's too late to run.

For all we know, DJ may not be reading the field of play and guys could be open.
If Cade comes in and suddenly guys get open, then the problem was DJ.
It would be cool if we could switch to the All-22 view during a game.

DJ has shown his entire career he can't anticipate a receivers route he has to throw when they are wide open. He is also a 1, 2, then run like Tebow but does it worse.
