IF Pagano's reason for leaving is that he wants to

better show his talent to NFL teams, is it the right call? Do you think he's putting himself in position to improve his draft situation?
I have no idea if this is the actual reason. It's the only one I've seen speculated.

I don't think it'll make a difference for his NFL prospect. You either have the talent or you don't and he's shown that he has the talent.

He's definitely an NFL prospect due to his play to this

point, but a big season could improve where he's drafted. He'll likely get more snaps somewhere else, because we are just flat out loaded on the D-Line.

In his current position, he will receive at least 350-400 snaps on a high profile, National Championship team. If he goes somewhere that is equally high profile, he may get 150-200 snaps at best. If this is true, the kid is getting some really bad advice and this will not help his NFL profile.

Perhaps the loss of DL Coaches yielded this result

Our players development is also tied to their coaches. If they were close, perhaps he had one less reason to stay and bloom at Clemson.

Very good point Dave. This is a kid a long ways from home who just lost coach/ father figures. Completely understandable.

There are a lot of kids waiting in line that will get reps

this year that are very good. Unfortunately for him, this will cut into his playing time. He can start at most other places and maybe up his NFL payday. Whether it's a good decision or not remains to be seen.

He wants to start somewhere in time to show.......

the NFL scouts what he can do and let's face it - he's not going to be a permanent starter at Clemson. He's a good player but isn't going to beat out our other guys. I hate to see him leave but he's got to do what he feels he needs to do. I wish him good luck!

Yeah I think this is probabaly more about wanting to get starter reps to accentuate his numbers . He isn't going to start here, period! Love his play, and hope the best for him. But if you watched Albert Higgins play this year, he is going to be big time before he's finished here. May very well have been taking significant snaps from Scott next year . Best of luck to him!!
