Watched the entire video. Was the dad over the top by driving up and demanding to speak to someone personally In the athletic department without setting an appointment? Yes. However, if what he alleges is true it’s no way to foster culture in your program. Successful programs treat everyone from walk ons to the janitorial staff with dignity and respect. One thing I know for certain is that CBB has a long track record of throwing his players under the bus after losses. That’s been consistent way back to the Rod Hall years.

seemed disingenuous, and no good can come from this for either party. He basically just embarrassed the heck out of his son, and quite possibly ended his days of playing organized sports. And if there was some meat to this bone, he would have kept it to himself and handled it through an attorney, not, well, whatever this is.

I thought it was very informative about our coach. It takes balls to challenge the establishment The kid is no different than we are. We wanted to go to Clemson and he just happened to be a tall guy that like basketball. A star, probably not, but dedicated. No coach should do what he did, if it is what he said. No wonder Clemson has been so quiet and guys have dropped like flies. A bad situation and Clemson needs to move on with getting a new guy.

A) That first FB video is clearly a guy who is acting. We can go in depth about it, but it’s pretty obvious.
B) The guy has history.

If he was looking after the best interest of his son, which any decent dad would, he wouldn’t have done this. He tagged barstool sports, ESPN, Fox News, and cnn in his post.
If he was being a lazy arsehole in practice, brownell has every right to call him a lazy arsehole. Seriously who cares.
Again, I’ve heard about venables saying much worse. The football players he coaches just doesn’t have soft attention seeking parents like this walk on does.
There could be more to the story, but based on what we heard, who cares

Thanks for posting the video, but there needs to be a disclaimer like Jerry Springer that this is 45 minutes of your life that you will never get back. Luckily I only spent 15 after clicking through to find something worthwhile.
I thought that I recognized the name, but probably could have figured out that he was a politician without it. Only a politician could talk almost 45 minutes to say what could have been said in 2.

Not a great look but worth demanding to speak to the athletic director? Maybe the son was being a lazy Ahole. If the father cared so much he'd talk to the coaches first. If he didn't like what they had to say THEN take it further, otherwise seems very disingenuous.
Having said all that, being a teacher myself, you learn never to embarrass a kid in front of the class. When a kid is goofing off or being a jerk the first thing you do is send the kid to the hall and talk to him or her away from the other kids.
Coaching is a little different gig and I know they are hard on the kids to get the best out of them. The bottom line though, taking a kid to the middle of the court and calling him and Ahole in front of everyone is pretty poor though.
