Oops. I have digital so I can read their sports news which is good plus we have a vaca place near Charleston.
It was basically filling roster holes particularly LB and DB. Big holes there especially LB. Fix the QB situation however it happens. Retool the offense including oline to get us back to the productivity of past years to include reference to other elite teams offenses. Lots of appropriate stats and observations.

Our 2 deep corner rotation is as strong as anywhere in the country and we have 3 very good safeties including the best freshman safety in the country returning. This is coot propaganda all day long.

Our 2 deep is now only the second half of the rotation. Dabo even referenced needing to pick up another DB in the article. We have lost 3 guys that will probably go in the first 100 picks in the last 12 months when you count Kendrick. It isn't realistic to think we will not take a step back at DB.

CLEMSON — As Clemson’s postgame press conference at the Cheez-It Bowl came to a close, the subject inevitably turned to what’s next. But the reporter’s question about the offseason incorporated the words “what needs to be fixed,” which caused Dabo Swinney to fixate for a second.
“Did you say what needs to be fixed?” Swinney asked, staring back as he waited for clarification.
When the reporter pulled back on that wording, asking simply “what’s the focus” for the offseason, Swinney nodded and was ready to answer.
“Yeah, just get back to work,” Swinney said. “Start over.”
There is no going back and fixing what occurred in 2021, because it’s over. The Tigers started the year 4-3, falling below the incredibly high standards they set in seasons past. But in spite of injuries and inconsistencies, they recovered to win six straight games.
Now, the offseason provides an opportunity to retool, not quite fix. Because each team is a project of its own.

Even if Swinney balked at the word “fix,” where does the focus need to be as Clemson tries to reach a higher but recently familiar level in 2022? Where do the Tigers start? Here’s an overview.
Fill roster holes
Some of this will be accomplished just by healing up.
Sophomore defensive tackle Bryan Bresee, arguably the Tigers’ best player, will return from an ACL injury. Joseph Ngata, E.J. Williams, Will Taylor and Brannon Spector should add back to a receiver corps that was decimated by injuries in 2021. The interior offensive line will get a bit deeper with Dietrick Pennington and John Williams back in the mix.
But even if all of those players return to health, Clemson is facing a shortage at several positions.
James Skalski, Baylon Spector, Jake Venables and Kane Patterson have departed the linebacker corps, and the Tigers have only one linebacker, Wade Woodaz, signed in the 2022 class. The running back room survived with three scholarship players in 2021, but Clemson doesn’t have a freshman signed for next season. The secondary adds freshmen corners Jeadyn Lukus and Toriano Pride this spring, but is that enough to replace Mario Goodrich and Andrew Booth Jr. if the latter also declares for the draft?
Swinney doesn’t appear to think so. Clemson carried just six corners in 2021.
“We have to go get a running back and we have to get another corner. We need another safety. We need another linebacker,” Swinney said. “So, we have kind of got a few holes on our roster.”

Swinney’s goal is to go into the summer with a roster number in the low 80s, just a few players short of the 85-player limit, allowing a walk-on or two to earn a scholarships. At this point, the Tigers are about a dozen short of the scholarship maximum, and the transfer portal remains open until May.
There are more high school players than normal waiting until the February signing period, so the Tigers could make up some serious ground there. But if Clemson’s first choices don’t commit this winter, it would appear more likely than ever Swinney dips into the portal for the first time.
“Just get everybody back, that’s the No. 1 thing, and complete our roster the way we need to,” Swinney said. “We have a few moving pieces.”

So, you must have a background in coaching. Please let the people who earn their living do just that. They obviously know more than reporters and common fans, which I am one. These guys are consistent winners, yet are still treated like they don't know what they are doing. People on this board need to come to that realizationJMO

I am always impressed by those posters who believe football coaches are scholars. With a PE degree, a TV screen with playback, a couch, and a bag of potato chips, there are few college grads who could not be a coach if desired. It is funny that many posters believe those who can perform aero analysis & finite element models, perform intricate surgeries, or make millions in investments are unable to discern the inability of a QB to look off a DB or throw to his second option.
