While I do agree with you, and the drumbeat is relentless... but maybe it should be. Imho, yes, people are definitely upset at 1-3. But there's a drumbeat almost as loud, including Dabo that keep saying we're ok. And acting like, with the exception of this year, the last 5 years are good.
Well, good to most teams. I would suspect every acc team would be happy with our last 5 years... but we're not paying to be like the acc. If you really want to take the orange colored glasses off, Dabo had 6 great years only because he played a cupcake acc league. Take them off. We are blessed to not have been in the B1G or the ACC. Dabo's tenure is vastly different in either of those conferences assuming everything was equal. Same players, same coaches etc.

Superficial BS. You forget about the SEC teams beaten, Big 10 teams beaten and Notre Dame to get to 4 NC's and win 2 of them, nearly a third. Some of you are so blinded by your disappointment or just plain nature to complain that you broadbrush what has been done as if it's only because a weaker ACC at the time. Lazy.

Gal, I agree with you on the what ifs. Not discounting all the challenges ahead, but we've been in the ACC during the good times too. It's like listening to all the critics who said the only reason we did well in the playoffs was because we were well rested from our easy regular season.
The reality is we can only play who they put in front of us. And yes, had we been in a different conference the last 5 years the results would not have been nearly as good. But, the critics would also point out that had we been in a different conference during our golden years, the run might not have been quite as good as it was either. However, with the talent we had in the championship years, I think we would have been competing for SEC or B1G championships as well, had we been in those conferences. We did beat their best in some of those playoffs.
Re: the ACC, all other Clemson coaches have faced similar schedules in the ACC and no one has had anything close to the run Dabo has had.

He ignored all that b/c of his ego. So he is the one that shoulders the blame.
I don't think he can change, but we will see.

I'm not ok with this at all but some of the heat for the last five years is coming off as a little spoiled. Don't get me wrong, I know that each of those years there were bad games and times where the team looked horrible but 9+ wins in all of them was enough for small changes ( a coach here, coordinator there, little more portal, etc). This year has shown those were cosmetic fixes or just bad. I don't think there is anyone ok with it just not ready to can our coach for it .....yet.

yes there are spoiled fans and expectations, but let's not lose focus. Much of the angst is about the downward spiral. He needs to adjust offensive style, recruiting, and how he handles these young men. Many great coaches who mastered their system went the way of dinosaurs because they didn't adjust.

Because we've dominated the ACC and made the playoffs
People are griping now because with the resurgence of several teams the ACC is no longer the walk in the park it used to be.
After 3 games FSU has the best offense in the country. Woah , Nellie who saw that coming.
We have a tremendous amount of ground to make up to even contend in the ACC.
That's about as sorry a testimony on Clemson than I've heard in decades,
Bear in mind some supporters have never witnessed Clemson prior to the arrival of Tommy or even Dabo when he first took the reins
