Reason we haven't offer LB Keion Joyner???

Does anyone know why we haven't not offered Keion Joyner, LB out of Havelock, NC?
He sure does look the part on film and based on his 6'4 220 frame... tigernet does not show that we have offered him

There may be little interest in doing it the right way ...for him. His top two look to be FSU and LSU ...the writing is on the wall.

Joking aside, it looks like a FSU LSU battle for his services. I believe he's from Louisiana and still has family down there. He likes FSU cause of the Brad Lawing connection from Havelock. Allegedly, they're tight but he's also warming up to Kevin Steele. He had a relationship with LSU's former DC and now that he's at Texas AM they may be a factor (He's mentioned a visit).
However, don't count out others like Auburn and Bama. He went to the Iron Bowl last season and both teams could factor in. I'm not sure that having Gene Chizik at UNC will matter too much. Regardless, I think he's a Nole or bayou tiger. He said he'll likely decide during the season and announce during an all-star game in December.

Thanks for the insight... When you look up the recruits we have offered on tigernet, it does not show his name.
Hopefully we can focus most of our recuriting efforts for Linebacker on Tre Lamar out of Georgia.

I now realize that Tigernet may not be the best source when it comes to recuriting info. Thanks for the help. Since we have offered, it seems that we were never really in play for Joyner and hopefully have focus our efforts elsewhere

I agree 100% with that strategy! Landing Lamar would give us one of if not the best Linebacking recruiting core for the 2016 class.
