Have had some people talk to me about switching to 3-4 defense

Like I’ve said multiple times I’m a big fan of the 4-3 and if we’re out with Tyler Davis it will work just fine with Williams and Ruk I believe in them. I also think we’re still going to use a 3-4 at times with Trenton Simpson as an Edge LB with also XT and/or even a Barrett Carter or another DB with Simpson on the edge. Last year the front 7 was young with Skalski and Spector being the Vets but these guys have matured. BV has shown he wants a multiple aggressive D which I’m a huge fan of as well with the right guys. We can easily do both formations with the guys we have and as the season goes on I expect to see multiple defensive formations. The most important player to have with this is a guy like Trenton Simpson who can play linebacker but also go down to the edge and rush. We’ll be just fine and I’m excited to see how this defense evolves.

We have not recruited the right personnel to run a 3-4 which takes a giant Nose and larger DEs
