Have any conservatives admitted Romney got trounced in

Oct 17, 2012, 6:20 AM

last night's debate? May have missed it.

Come on, even Tboy admitted Romney won first debate.

Are you guys this far in denial?

I did not see it. His little emotional appeal on birth control was probable effective for idiots who see this as an issue ( which it is not) but overall, I think your man looked like Biden Jr. And the swaggering empty suit that he is.

Romney looked much more like Biden, IMO.***

Are you kidding? obama and his minions going on and on anout an obscure film and the apologizing for it is the big joke here. This was very similar to their silly denials about assan and their sending the nasa head over to the me to pump up muslims about their contributions to math and science.

This continued pc bs is akin to a series of snl skits.

It was a crucial mistake, but not for the reason you think.

Oct 17, 2012, 8:05 AM

Obama never directly called it an act of terror. He said that the US will not tolerate acts of terror.

Then he spent two weeks blaming a spontaneous protest and a YouTube film.

Romney could have obfuscated all the linguistic trickery and just said "Why'd you tell us for two weeks that this was caused by something it wasn't?"

It was a mistake because Obama can be easily called to task on the issue, but Romney fu*cked it all up.

The fact that he at least got a draw, when the moderator

Oct 17, 2012, 7:08 AM

kept stopping him just as he was making his point,AND on at least three or four ocassions, started the President off on his rebuttal;as in,"Mr. President is there anything you want to say in regards to blah, blah, blah", or even worse, when she literally joined in the debate as an opponent and said," No Mr. Romney, the President did say....". It was incredulous. Like I said last night and to be fair( as the Dems are so fond of saying) is the next debate going to be on FOX with either Hannity or Megan moderating? I mean, the first debate was moderated by a woman whose wedding was attended by the President( hardly fair), and the second was moderated by.....well, we all saw how fair that was!

Lol, moderator, waaaaaaaaa

She was right though. Bring up transscript.

NO, but he did get Ron Cherried at least once by the mod.***

Barry's problem is that he can't win one handily enough

Oct 17, 2012, 7:56 AM

to change the polls... He has to attack Romney and it's not working.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

I don't think Romney got trounced.

Oct 17, 2012, 8:02 AM

I think Obama won, but I think Romney was aggressive enough and got in enough zingers to keep it competitive.

I don't think you'd find many objective analysts who would say the debate was a rout, on par with debate #1.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think the only people who think Obama won...

Oct 17, 2012, 8:43 AM

Are those who wanted him to.

It is true that Obama didn't get destroyed in this debate like he did in the first, however Obama still has to face the truth of his record.

The undecideds, where we can measure who won or lost, are looking for two things:

1) Why should I vote for Obama again? Can you, Obama convince me things will be different this time?

2) Is Romney "presidential?" Does he understand the issues? Is he normal and likeable? Is he a leader?

I'll agree Obama was much more confident in himself last night, but I don't think that confidence translated to convincing the undecided things will be different.

I think Romney continued to answer the questions in number 2 effectively.

You're trying way too hard to find a killshot in this.

Oct 17, 2012, 8:36 AM

I get it, you're trying to make yourself feel better. But, you're delusional if you think this was any more than a slight Obama win.

If this was a "trouncing," what do you call the first debate?
