In Division I, the five-year clock of eligibility starts when you first enroll in school. So, for Huegel, yeah, he practically burnt a year of eligibility by not even being on the team.
If so inclined (and I hope he wouldn't because he'd be on a NFL roster next year), he could actually kick for a Division II school next year because they have no such timeline, only four seasons of competition (and a partial one if a medical redshirt or new four-game redshirt was involved).
As a former staff member in NCAA D1 and D2 athletic departments, I get it. I don't like it, but I get it.

I believe it is only the points you score yourself. Historical points are awarded to the player that caught the TD, not the player who passed the ball.
That would be scores "responsible" for.

Yet fata$$ can get a waiver to transfer and play immediately over a lie! Unbelievable.. this kid has done everything right and had a legitimate injury. They gave Rodney Paulk 2 injury waivers and let him play at usuck for what seemed to be 10 years.
