the defensive side. Our defense had no pass rush on Jennings like Penn State. This looks like our pass rush when BV was here. Quarterbacks feel very comfortable against us. Penn State is in the head of Jennings. He had no fear of us.

don't say things like that. Clemsons defense is very athletic and not overweight

I really think it boils down to coaching. Goodwin is absolutely terrified of letting the big play happen. Because of that, he always goes for the lowest-risk playcall, which is usually a 3-4 cover 2 or a nickel. He doesn't blitz and won't run the 4-3. I honestly believe our defensive talent is comparable to the top 10 defenses we've had (not the 2018 team obviously, but 2021). Lawson and Griffin are the only two mediocre players we have. We would have every bit as good of a defense as Penn State if we ran a 4-3 and weren't scared to blitz.

Lack of talented depth.
Yes, Coaching some but we have a roster management issue.

Penn State has better athletes and they appear to be better coached. They rush with discipline. They contain the quarterback in ways that we just seem not to be able to do. And they tackle very well.

They are forcing Jennings to make quick decisions. Two seconds into the count, Jennings is no longer looking down field. He’s just improvising.

Here’s hoping that we play the best version of ourselves today versus Texas
