Kelly vs. Stoudt

Tnet coaches. Don't act like you know which QB will win the battle this Spring and Summer. Many of you are basing your thoughts on one or two items. Remember there are many different ways to evaluate your players -- most of which you won't know unless you've been at practice. Have you considered any of the following?
(this is NOT an all-inclusive list)
Leadership: Will the other players follow Can the player help others to learn/get better
Knowledge: Does he know the playbook Does he know the jobs of those around him Can he digest defenses Experience
Passing: Arm Strength Precision Decision Making Pocket presence
Running: Speed Agility Ball security Durability Endurance

Both are under 8-feet, so way too short either way.***

Platoon/squad leader would have had two categories added:
-How effective is he with very little sleep? -How many carton of cigarettes/logs of dip does he go through in a week? (this is a category where you do well by meeting a windowed guideline)

I just think Stoudt has the heavy edge because:

1. He won the number 2 job over Kelly last year. 2. Kelly wasn't able to practice during August and September, giving Stoudt more of a edge.

Just because you "KNOW" the play book, doesn't mean you can execute it.

If Kelley doesnt see significant time next season

I foresee a transfer. As a matter of fact he may do it if hes not named the starter after spring ball to save a year of eligibility.

He says he has no interest in transferring, no matter what.

Whoever loses out really *should* transfer

I want both of these guys to get substantial playing time and go on to have great careers. Stoudt won't sniff the NFL without playing time this year, and it'd be a waste of Kelly's talent for him to end up a career backup.
There's nothing wrong with transferring, it's just business.
