after having gotten my steroid shot in the back yesterday, I had one of the weirdest football related nightmares of my life.
We were playing the Coots, but somehow, they were also the Texas Longhorns. I don't know how I knew this, but I knew it, even though they looked like black Coot uniforms. And, we were definitely playing somewhere that was not Death Valley or The Roach. Could have been Jerryworld, maybe.
The game began, and Clemson was doing well, and we ran out to a couple touchdown lead. Both teams offenses were moving the ball, really well. I mean REALLY well. Later, the score was 41-38 Clemson, with a minute or so to go before HALFTIME, when somehow, this part is fuzzy, I was apparently on the sidelines, and got run into or something, and had to be taken into a house trailer they happened to have there for some R&R.
Whelp, a couple minutes later, it must have hit halftime, because more people started filing into the trailer, mumbling about the horrid finish to the half. A minute or so later, DABO comes in and sits down, and says he needs a drink. Eventually they all leave, and the game must have resumed for some time before I got back out there.
By now, only seconds remain in the game, when I finally make my way back to the sidelines, and.....the Coots are up 58-41. And, apparently, all those points were scored before halftime. The Coots somehow got 20 points in that last minute or so of the first half that I was gone, and then the entire second half was scoreless.
What a nightmare. I hope the shot works out better than that.
