Gun rights

I pastor a church in NC and work part time at our YMCA. I was at the pool one day and a guy who I know is liberal was swimming and I always chatted with him during his rest breaks. We somehow began discussing a theater shooting and he said "that's why I am for gun laws, would you feel safe in a theater with a crazy guy like that and he has a gun." Man these people are delusional, no I wouldn't feel safe knowing everyone in the theater has no gun to protect us from a crazy gunman. However, if everyone is carrying a gun and the crazy man knows that, I don't think he will want to attack that theater. It amazes me how blind liberals are, you can put facts right in front of their face but they can't see it or just choose not to since it doesn't help their agenda. All everyone has to do is look at Chicago and see that gun laws don't stop gun violence. A law will never stop wicked people. Only law abiding citizens obey the law. Take drugs for example, always been illegal but also have always been sold on the streets. Drugs have not disappeared because of laws, instead they actually have gotten worse. So guns won't be off the streets because of some liberal law. Instead innocent people won't be able to protect themselves and their families. This nation is in trouble and as a student of Scripture I don't see a recovery, I see us getting worse and worse. But on Monday I shall forget politics and enjoy watching my Tigers play for the National Championship. Go Tigers!

I know Jesus would be in favor of every man woman and child strapping themselves with a hand gun. Think of how safe that would be.

Does a mentally deranged person really go through a logical thought process?


I own guns - I plan to buy more guns in the future. I enjoy target shooting. I don't mind having to go through a process at least as rigorous as buying a car to buy a gun.

Give the guy a break, anyone willing to commit their career to an invisible employer would probably stand little chance discerning reality from gun lobby rhetoric.
