Curious on what people think 4 games into his career. Granted I will say there have been injuries this year but the play of the secondary was laughable yesterday. To continuously put corners that are struggling on islands by themselves without safety help really confused me. I’d rather give up Alittle on the run not having safeties in the box compared to 50 yard bombs. Think the defense lacks Alittle bit of a edge as well. Wondering if that has to do with his demeanor on the sideline and off. Thoughts?

At the rate its going so far....he is going to get smacked in the face several more times this season by other offenses.

This defense has talent yes...but our level of play was mirroring a 9th place ACC team. Thats not rock bottom but we're Clemson man.

Those Defensive backs has to be just as ferocious as the linebackers that we have had in the past.

I didn't see Bentley out there yesterday speaking of ferocious linebackers.

Weslichick nickname needs to be shelved for a little while!!! They aren’t creating the pressure on the QB that we have become accustomed to and that is putting the secondary in bad positions.

That is debatable Neal..Venenables had loads of experience before
he became our DC. Look at two games that our D gave up a bunch of
points. LSU and OS.Godwin will get it done with continued good
recruiting and teaching.

He really made zero adjustments at halftime. He needed to force Wake into short throws and allow our front 4 to disrupt the mesh point. Way too much 1 on 1 coverage against our depleted secondary.

Think about this...
The only reason we're so thin at DB is because of the lack of recruiting good DBs WHEN VENEBLES WAS IN CHARGE.

I don't think Venebles ever had to deal with so many starters out and so many inexperienced players (many of which were freshmen) playing in a ranked matchup on the road. Not even @Notre Dame in 2020 was this bad!
