Good nite Tnet, Goodbye 2021, Goodbye CFB

Jan 11, 2022, 12:58 AM

Case of the sads. This season may be the last pure ametuer college football we'll see. As we turn the calendar and page, a new day has dawned in what used to be an American ametuer game played for the love of the sport.

Not sure this ole lady enjoys it anymore. At least we have one pure team left - Clemson. God Bless Dabo and Go Tigers.

This season was already tainted by unlimited free-agency and no-salary-cap NIL. Last season was affected by Covid and one of the “finalists” played 6(!) regular season games.

LSU was your last amateur CFB champion.

And that LSU team had a lot of smoke around it. Not exactly sure how amateur they were.

but hey they were a very very good team in that they were only college football team in history to beat 8 Top-10 teams same season.

I feel the same way and this is the saddest day ever. I compare it the Challenger explosion or other significant and solemn events. We had the first liberal/blue state win a natty in the CFP Era. This is truly the onset of communism and our last bastion of pure, unadulterated college football is gone forever. Last night was not just a national championship game but a shift of power toward globalism. We now usher in NIL, transfer portal and open corruption into the greatest sport ever. God help us.....

At this point, I am only interested in Clemson football. If I want to watch pro teams, I'll watch the Raiders or the Jags.

The NCAA destroys amateur sports in America.

The Courts, and judges sticking their noses into college sports where it was better off if they hadn't. The courts over extended their opinions anything college FB is what has destroyed college FB. But it all was caused by the NCAA's continuous non actions, then their overreactions is the only reason why the courts were ask to come in and over rule the NCAA's overreactions. They lost the battle over college athletes not being fairly compensated, They wanted the bigger end to keep up with their already over paid salaries, and now they are staying quiet to hold onto the little say so they still have.

The NCAA should have had a system to where they could overhauled everything within college sports every 3-5 years for the betterment of college sports, over more hiring creating a bigger, and bigger budget, along with bigger, and bigger salaries for all that sat on the board trustee's!!! In other words, the NCAA about priced themselves out of a job by wanting more and more for themselves over the needs of college sports... In a nut shell, to many Chiefs, and not enough Indians to look after, and take good care of college sports, and the players that play the games!!!!

Money is one thing and has been going on.

No Class diplomas and 22 million dollars of lawyering up did them in

Where were you when oklahoma was paying Dupree

Georgia paying Walker
UNC giving away diplomas
100.00 handshakes in the parking lot
Trucks, cars and houses
Duke breaking the bank with Zion- money, jobs and houses
Auburn paid for a church to get a National title.

Only difference now is they get to brag about it on social media. Shoot the OT at Alabama 5-6 years ago even did that then and nobody cared.

Restraints will be put in when there are only 6-8 competitive teams but until then rain or shine I will continue to watch and attend The Tigers
