playing at Augusta National. Could have been a special round if I had any sort of short game but was a good time nonetheless. Took a few bucks off my brother and my buddy in a putting match after the round, while drinking Tropicalia courtesy of the members.

Great photo. Takes a good swing to end up at that point.
And a 3 at 11? What did you hit from the fairway, and what happened?

37 is pretty damnn fun. Was good to tick off birdies at 6 and 11. Had 140 into 11, pin was in the back. Hit it about 6 feet with a 9 iron. Got a good read from the forecaddie and made it. Followed it up with an over the top 8 iron on 12, long and left.

You hit the drive on 11 pretty good to be 140 out.

As close as I've been to playing it is the Tour 18 in Dallas. The layout and topography is said by many to be very close to the originals, and based on the couple of times I've seen Augusta, it seemed close. #11 (#16 in Dallas) was a haul. Those who hit it up the right side were left with long irons.

We play member tees, so it's only about a 400 yd hole

So that measures out to 260, which is actually a little under my typical drive. I remember I hit it good, but didn't "nut" it.

how much was the caddie tip? Or is that bad taste to ask?
Just in case I ever get to play there.
