Too bad they didn't fire him before they let him resign. No

way you can lead a large diverse class, or district with that way of thinking, whether anyone knows you think that way or not. Once it is known that your thinking is that backwards, dismissal should be swift. Being stupid enough to make a post like that is also evidence that he is too ignorant to run a school district. That's about a $150,000 per year oops.
Oh well, maybe he can get a loan fro Deshaun. He's going to need some money, or he better start unloading some assets. Wonder what kind of interest rate Deshaun should charge him?

Meaning..he’s a great young man who says he Loves All Peoples and they see that daily..and yes, as he stated he might could have performed differently on that last play but he didn’t & will learn from it.
Hope the Superintendent learns a Life lesson too!
I did! ??

An editorial in today’s “charlottes snooze” about this event. A person in his position really can’t make statements about things like this ... even in fun. He’s sorry he made an evil post that was heavily read by millions not that he made an evil post. The winners are the kids in his schools.

Let's see......The young man this guy is talking about is 23 years old, college degreed, led his team to the national football championship, plays for an NFL team, worth millions, loved by millions, takes care of his family, generous to others, has no problem with his priorities, and is destined to be one of the greatest ambassadors for the NFL ever....and the person making the comments is a washed up, unemployed school administrator in a small town in TX
Enough said....

Social media is the worst. It has turned the press and the public into a bunch of gossiping busybody lynch mobs. I do not support destroying people's lives for saying nasty things. This guy is obviously an idiot, but he is now both unemployed and unemployable, which is a bit much for saying something dumb. Delete your Facebook and Twitter and Google+. HR departments scour every comment you have ever made under your own name to make personnel decisions.
Let he who is without insensitive remarks throw the first stone.

are seriously defending his comment??

or are you defending his right to say it? it wasn't gossiping internet busybodys who wrote the message. this is beyond nasty things, and I am disappointed that you either refuse to recognize that he wasn't just saying something insensitive and dumb, but that he was saying something insensitive and dumb that he actually believed... the context of that dumb thing SHOULD disqualify him from the responsibilities of leading any educational organization because that is a very uneducated statement to make. let he who does not first count the cost of making statements that reflect an inherent prejudice towards another human being founded on nothing other than a privileged systemic bias reap the reward which is most appropriate and to the level of ostracism that they exhibit in their inherent prejudice...

The "perils of social media" means that too often a good person's life and livelihood is destroyed by a snapshot of bad judgment or stupidity.
By all accounts Mr Redden wasn't a mass murderer, a child molester, a habitual speeder, a convenience store shoplifter or even an unfair boss. He was a gifted and well-respected educator who had done more positive things for his community than most of us. He is now a husband and grandfather who just lost his employability and health benefits--when it's too late to replace them--for momentarily but very publicly violating the trust of the people he apparently has served well for many years by speaking stupidly in a public forum.
Okay, he shouldn't escape the conflagration his stereotypical statement caused--after all, as an educator, it is his job to help all students of all diversities develop their precision decision making skills, instead of labeling one group in particular as inferior.
But it needs to be over now. Let's stop trying to ruin his life. Even the very honorable DW4 has uttered statements in his life he didn't want posted to Facebook (if he's normal), so can we stop with the "all i need is a snapshot of you on social media and i can tell what kind of person you are" hypocrisy? That's the same kind of prejudice that Redden flashed in his frustration as a fan.
And now you want to criticize 'sympathetic' Tigernet posters by playing guilt by association of an association of an association?
Stop. It's over.

in one particular direction, and I won't recount the specific sympathies or lack thereof... my comment was that the comment made should disqualify him from leading an educational organization because the comment is uneducated and prejudiced... He can be a great man to his family and community, but still yet be a dirt bag towards other families and communities, as evidenced by his comment... I didn't comment that his life needs to be ruined, just that he doesn't need to be the educator in chief in any capacity... do you disagree that a prejudiced comment is not worthy of equal prejudice in repercussions?
