I know he is an amateur and can't take prize money but couldn't the exposure get him some nice NIL.

Als did he finish hogh enough to be invited back next year or is that only if he was a pro. What about if he turns pro before the tourney next year can he claim the exemption he earned this year.

NIL money. If you noticed, he had quite a few logos on his clothing while playing, I am sure he was getting paid something, although, I do not know how that works in golf with accepting compensation as it relates to their amatuer status.

That just means the sitting amateur champion makes the field. Whoever wins the amateur the next year takes the spot.

If you finish top 12, you get invited back regardless of amateur status.

I gave him a pass on pace of play. First time and that course is mentally challenging. Got to know where to land it or you will be chipping a lot.

As Danny would have said “I was very, very proud of the youngster.”
