I don't know if y'all remember, but last year after high school my son went to play baseball at USC-Sumter.
Long story short, he had a season-ending injury on the second day of practice and instead of sitting in Sumter he decided to finish out the semester and come back home in December.
With Sumter being a JUCO and having 60+ kids on their roster he was just a number once he got injured and didn't have a lot of support, etc. so he thought his baseball was done. He was just going to take some classes at Trident Tech until he had enough credits to transfer to Clemson.
Well, a few weeks ago the head coach at Southern Wesleyan reached out and asked if he'd like to come up for a visit. It went well and he was offered a baseball and academic scholarship! He's excited because it is D2 and close to Clemson where his girlfriend is. He's going to give it one last ride!
Funny how things work out sometimes!

when my boys were playing, was in a tournament where they were a host field, if I remember correctly the field kinda sits down in a depression with some buildings along third base side, not a lot of wind LOL
