They made me take a year away, and do random drug and alcohol screenings at my own expense, and see a psychiatrist. I faced a ton of stigma when I came back and it was really hard to explain in every interview I’ve had for anything since then. Because my loans were then in non-consecutive years I don’t qualify for PSLF program, so hard to truly calculate the monetary cost. It was definitely Corny, he works in the admissions office at USC Salk in Walterboro, so he would understand dean’s office dynamics and who to contact.
But hey, I ended up getting into my top choice residency, the best bariatric fellowship in the country, and I make more money per month than he makes in a year doing a job I love where I get to transform lives, while he does meaningless desk work living a pathetic existence . I bet his family hates him. So, despite his best efforts to ruin my life over message board drama, Corny failed and can S my D.
